Top quality magnifying lamp. I’ve been using this for over a month now and I love it. It is very well made and has a nice finish. Set it where you want it and it stays there without constant readjustment. The ring of 60 SMD LEDs gives you excellent shadow free lighting and I love that you can adjust the brightness. The only thing I didn’t like was the level of magnification. The 5 diopter – x2.25 lens was great for inspecting items but I found it far too strong for working on printed circuit boards (lens was too close to the work, so no room for tools). I emailed the seller, GS Tools, and explained my problem. A few hours later I received a reply letting me know that they had a 3 diopter – x1.75 lens available for $12.50 including shipping. A couple of days later I received the new lens and installed it (there is a simple to use locking ring on the top side of the lens; that allows you to swap out lenses in just a few seconds). Problem Solved! As a side note, I like having the two lenses. I use the 3 diopter lens around 90 percent of the time but when I need that extra magnification it only takes a couple of seconds to change to the 5 diopter lens.Best magnifying lamp ever and my thanks to Joie at GS Tools!

Good but would be better with a more decent mount clamp.
Works well. The lense is a bit tricky because you focal area isn't that big since the image you see tends to go bad except in the very middle. Plenty bright. It should come with a better mounting clamp.

Nice light but almost unsuitable for an electronics workbench
The design and quality is ok however this light radiates to much RF and EMF noise, this horribly interferes with every digital oscilloscope that I have that is within 10 feet of it. If I adjust the vertical controls on my scopes all the way to the more sensitive levels (10mV / Div or less) it will usually make the trace almost unreadable. My one analog scope does not seem to be affected by it. I even removed the cheap SMPS that the light uses and powered the light from one of my linear bench supplies, it had no effect. Stay away from this light if you have digital scopes or other sensitive equipment nearby. I have no idea how this light passed noise regulations.

So disappointing !!
Used this light for the first time today. Worked great for 2 hours. Came back 6 hours later to continue my project. When I turned it on all it did was flutter then go out. Absolutely won't light regardless of what I do. All connections are intact. So disappointed. Back it goes.

OK for the price but w major design flaws
Update:Warning - Unusable for electronics. The amount of RFI (radiated emissions) this light spews jams up my oscilloscope and frequency counter. No other light I have purchased before has caused this problem. How did it pass FCC? Had to replace with different model.Old ReviewFor the $$$$ I guess I can't complain but I was a bit disappointed in quality and design. I have had several similar lights ranging from $25 - $500. I was expecting this to be similar quality to others I have had in the $70-$100 price range but alas it was not.Pros:* Price* Magnifier quality is good, stronger than most cheap lights and has a longer focal length than most. Clarity level only o.k. but to be expected in this price range, not as bad as some other cheap lights.* No cheap springs or clamps to slip from movement.Cons (See note about RFI above)* The arm movement design is seriously flawed. The movement of one axis pivot affects the ability of the other to move. This means that the light can't move into all positions that it should be able to, or that other similar products could do this no problem. Often the arm stops movement before it fully collapses on the other arm due to this design flaw. So it is very hard to maneuver into all positions.* The plastic top is light weight and feels flimsy compared to others in this price range* The lens holder is cheap and doesn't hold well. The lens can easily fall out if this gets loose, and it does* The LED light is not as bright as I would expect and the color temperature is way into the blue. No spec but appears to be around 600-800 lumins

Very good work light
Very nice lamp. The magnifying lens is big (4.5") and very clear. Image is sharp from about 1 to 9 inches with excellent magnification and usable to about the edges. The built-in lens cover keeps dust and fingers off the lens when not in use, nice feature. The bright white light levels are great, adjustable and even across the field of view, ample for most work. They are in a circle around the perimeter of the lens. This lamp is pretty heavy and needs to be attached to a strong surface. I measured the maximum table/bench thickness at 2.5 inches. Buttons are easy to operate.
