Plastic Microwave Plate Cover Spatter Guard with Steam Vented Clear Lid (1)

I have only one issue with this cover. While it works as it should I wish the handle was a bit taller. I am small and have small hands and even I have a hard time gripping the shallow handle on this. For my 6'5" husband who has enormous hands it is nearly impossible. He found it was easier to lift off the cover with both hands rather than struggle with the handle. So, if you have large hands I would potentially look elsewhere. It is perfect in every other way and is otherwise great for the low price I paid.UPDATE - 1 YEAR LATERHaving used this cover for a year I can say that it has layered fairly well however it has gotten stained from being washed in the dishwasher and the spatters from microwaved food. It does not affect the performance in any way and it is in the microwave so no one sees it except my husband or myself. The one drawback for me personally is that we bought new dishes and now it does not fit over the plate instead resting on the rim. It still works however, we will be looking into getting a larger one. So, if you have large dishes just know that it may not fit properly. The base is 10 1/4" in diameter so measure first. Otherwise I stick to my original 4 star review. The shallow handle is still a bit unwieldy and since it gets rather hot is is uncomfortable for my larger husband to hold onto. It fits my smaller hands with no problem though.

Have now used this cover daily for two months and no problems. I wouldn't bother putting it in a dishwasher because it wipes off easily with a sponge (and frankly I think foods splatter less under this cover because I'm getting very little splatter on the cover, even reheating spaghetti drenched in tomato sauce). I would give this product 5 stars except that it's now on the so-called "Add-on program" which I regard as a ripoff driven by an excess of corporate greed. I paid $7 plus a couple bucks shipping for this product two months and if I had to order another ten or twenty bucks worth of stuff to get this product shipped I would've done what I always do: Pass! I want my stuff now and I want what I want and I don't appreciate being told that I have to order more, more, more!!!!Update: Been using the thing for 3 years and I now consider it the most valuable kitchen gadget ever invented. If you wave anything get one of these things.

We moved into a new and much bigger place and I bought a few odds and ends to help me keep things in my home cleaner and organized. This simple and affordable product was such a pleasant surprise! It is a perfect fit in my microwave, it fits around everything kind of plate or platter ice heated up and once I scribed and sanitized my microwave to it looked new... A month later and it still looks as clean. I've done routine wipe downs simply for the fact that it's habit. This keeps spatter from microwaved food contained to the inside of the plastic cover.. It doesn't get in the top, sides, or door if microwave. Makes a big difference when those normally hard to clean foods (ex. Spaghetti sauce) causes no mess or splatter at all. The cover itself comes clean very easily with a typical Handwash. Has kept things so much more sanitary!

This cover fits perfectly inside my small 0.9 cf microwave oven. The diameter and height are perfect. There are four small holes on top that can be opened or closed for venting; however, only two holes were open somewhat. I had to punch out those holes with my finger which ended up looking somewhat ragged. The other two holes were not even partially open so I would need a tool to punch through them. This optional venting did not matter to me as I only use two vents. Overall, I like the cover and the price was reasonable.

Works great! I have had one for a few years. A co-worker of mine (bachelor) complained about how almost all his meals were ones he cooked or warmed up in the microwave and that the thing (microwave) got quite disgusting over time since he abhors having to clean it. I had one added on to another order and gave it to him. Two weeks later when we were working night shift again he said he really appreciated the gift and he wonders how he ever got along without one! Once he started using this thing he said he actually cleaned his microwave and was thinking he may never have to do that again thanks to this splatter guard. Well,we have to see how THAT goes! LOL But, seriously, it does do a good job of keeping splatters from happening and I like having the choice of having it vent or not depending on what I am placing in the 'wave.

Product is big enough to cover a large plate of food and fits comfortably in the microwave. I like that it has a steam vent on top to effectively vent trapped air. I still use it daily and it hasn't lost its shape or effectiveness.

It’s keeps splatter off my microwave. And I like the vent. But I do wish it had a different handle or a handle period. And that it was a little thicker. When it’s used for too long at once it gets hot and kinda flimsy
