An interesting book .The author comes across as an arrogant so and so at the beginning but what he has to say is very relevant in todays world as the book progresses.There are two co-authors, his wife and ghostwriter who interject with their opinions.Worth buying.

As a longtime fan of Laird's extraordinary accomplishments, this book was eagerly anticipated, and the early discussion about dangers along the North Shore was riveting. The overall takeaway experience was a bummer, though, because the book's editing was horrible. It was like someone followed Laird around with a tape recorder for a while, then wrote "chapters" by grouping together random quotes on repeated themes. The resulting text is choppy & uneven, and reading more than a page or two at a time is generally a no-go. Laird's very intriguing, even fascinating at times, but this book isn't either of those things.

I'm in a bad place in my life, and this book is really helping to keep up my spirits. Thank-you Laird!!
