AquaTeakPatented 18" Maluku Teak Shower Bench with Shelf

This shower chair is beautiful and solid. Was very easy to assemble and easy to adjust. The packaging held all parts firmly in place and was a work of art in its own right. The chair is clearly something we'll keep forever. Strongly recommend for anyone tired of shoddy goods.

This bench is the perfect size and very comfortable. I like that the legs are adjustable and that it is very sturdy. The shelf underneath is great for storage. Good purchase!

This is a beautiful teak stool. It was super easy to put together. I am incredibly pleased. I love the color of the wood, and AquaTeak gives instructions on how to keep the real looking new. This adds a nice seat in our shower but also adds warmth in an otherwise white bathroom.

I put this bench in the small shower in the mud room. The time has come when I feel really tired when I come in from gardening. This takes up just a small corner and makes it really easy to take a scrub brush to dirty feet after gardening in flip-flops. My balance just isn't what it was a decade or two ago. I have 2 beefs with most shower chairs: they are super ugly and way too big. This cute little bench is more spa-like than hospital in appearance and fits so nicely in even this really small shower. I put several coats of teak oil on the bench before using it the first time. I use a wash cloth to quickly wipe it down after a shower so that water doesn't stand on it. After a few months of use it still looks great and does its job beautifully.

It's a nice looking and sturdy bench to shower on with a rain shower. Seat's tiny gaps equal no pinching or pain to the birthday suits. We just got it and used for couple of showers, and waiting for the teak oil to arrive to maintain the look/color. We're keeping it in the shower as it would be a waste to use as a towel/shampoo shelves, so will update the condition over time.It was very easy to assemble; just four pieces to put together.

Bought this to place in new shower we had installed for use either to sit down when needed or for shaving legs, etc. Wanted something attractive but also sturdy and durable for keeping in the shower. All customer ratings indicated this was the case. Went together easily and is very sturdy. Only had it for a few weeks but still looks great and having the bottom shelf makes it possible to store glass cleaner and squeegee for daily cleaning.

When I received this bench I was really impressed with the quality, the color and the sturdiness. I did have a problem putting it together but only because it seemed like one of the holes didn't match up correctly. I called Aqua Teak and they were very responsive and gave me suggestions which I had actually attempted already. They really spent time with me and ultimately I decided to return the bench and I replaced it with another style. Arrangements were made to have the bench picked up at no charge and I received the new item within a week.All in all - my experience was a good one - customer service excellent - and product worth every penny! I gave 4 stars only because I returned the original item.

Wow, the construction of this teak chair is excellent! The 4 pieces fit together with precision and ease. I was surprised that the screws are stainless steel bolts, not the usual wood screws, making the installation easy, sturdy, and fool proof. (believe me, I have over-tightened wood screws in the past, making installation failures.) Not this one! Four pieces, eight screws, simple instructions (actually, no instructions are necessary) Comes with simple (unnecessary) instructions, a thank you note from the company, and a toll free number in case you have problems! I WILL BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN! And, my wife LOVES it!

Love my teak stool for shower 🚿 I didn't want any plastic seats on stools in my shower ,I have back problems & Fibromyalgia all over ,so on the bad days the stool is used & on the good days its great to use a a table in bathroom , bought teak oil and its keeping my teak seat waterproof & retaining its colour

I haven't used the bench so far. This review is really just to add a couple of photos of how much size it takes up in a standard shower cubicle. I wouldn't want it to be any larger, and there is a smaller one available I guess if going by the photos you think this would be too big for you.I may update this review after a few months' use to provide a more useful description of how this item actually performs. But overall, my first impressions are favourable. It's a solid product. I like the adjustable feet, and the slats that are just wide enough to stop water collecting, but not be painful to sit upon.The main reason I bought this is that when I switched from a bath with a shower on the wall to a shower cubicle, there's nowhere to put your feet up on when you want to wash your legs / feet. (A task previously taken on by the edge of the bath.) This bench provides a kind of "foot stool" for that purpose. I can imagine it'd also be useful to anyone with a disability or injury, to assist with showering.It was very easy to build, and I think it's a nice-looking product. Worth the money? Yeah, probably.
