Things are getting exiting. This had me hooked!
I’m happy that I finally read how the Mighty Morphin Omega Rangers came to be after the events of Shattered Grid. I always thought that they were a great substitute as the second Ranger team after Mighty Morphin, considering how Saban Productions never adapted the main five Gosei Sentai DaiRanger suits for the second season other than KibaRanger along with DaiRanger’s mecha and kaijin of the week.Anyways, back to the book review: I love how this storyline brings back the Blue Emissary, giving his a purpose to the Jason, Zack, Trini, and XI as they venture into the universe, saving it from people who don’t know how to control themselves, being given powers from the Morphin Grid itself accidentally. It’s pretty interesting. As for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team, I love it continues to develop each of the characters after the events of Shattered Grid, giving them time to think about their future and what it means to be a hero while having introduced Rocky, Adam, and Aisha to the team. It’s really good because we actually get to know their thoughts and feelings about having taken over for Jason, Zack, and Trini as well.In conclusion, I absolutely love Boom Studios’ Comic Books Power Rangers series and I can’t wait to read more!!

A Great Continuation from the “Shattered Grid” Storyline!
“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Necessary Evil, Part One: Deluxe Edition” collects “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” numbers 40–47 and “Go Go Power Rangers” numbers 21–28 written by Ryan Parrott and Sina Grace with art by Danielle Di Nicuolo, Francesco Mortarino, Simona Di Gianfelice, Daniel Bayliss, and Eduardo Francisco, colors by Walter Baiamonte, Katia Ranalli, Daniele Ienuso, Raúl Angulo, and Enrique Fernandez, letters by Ed Dukeshire, and cover art by Goñi Montes. The story alternates between events in the recent past, expanding how Zordon and Alpha-5 used the power of the White Light to aid Tommy Oliver in becoming a Power Ranger again, and in the present, with Jason Scott, Trini Kwan, and Zach Taylor becoming the Omega Rangers to find those who became directly connected to the morphin grid without a morpher as a conduit following the events of Shattered Grid. The stories continue to expand on the world glimpsed in the original 1990s television series while adding a depth of maturity to the storytelling. The Rangers face real consequences and danger both in their everyday battles and also from the previous experiences of the comic book. Further, the creation of the White Ranger takes on added stakes while offering a chance for Tommy to display his character growth. A great continuation for those who have enjoyed Boom! Comics’ “Power Rangers” stories thus far.

Came damaged
The spine arrived damaged as did some of the pages so I’m disappointed. The novel itself is great but the cosmetic damage was a bummer because it was a Christmas gift. They still seemed to like it but I most likely won’t order from here again.

Great character vignettes, timeline difficult to follow
While providing some fantastic moments in showing the backstory and heartfelt moments in the rebooted Ranger-verse, the timeline is nearly incomprehensible, jumping around as it fills in the various points taking place in other series. Despite this, a charming trip through nostalgia with enough well-written overarching plot to make fresh and new.
