Love the flavour.
Zero sugar, zero calories, but lots of 100% natural caffeine.This is a great energy drink, and at just over £1.40 per 330ml can, it's not bad value either. I love the cherry, almond taste, and this drink not only increases energy levels, it is really refreshing too, especially if nicely chilled.The design of the can is really eye-catching too, making it stand apart from most other brands.This is great to drink before a run, or before a gym session. It increases energy levels quickly, and sustains them throughout your exercise period.I've tried a lot of different energy drinks, but this is definitely one of my favourites now. Another thing I like is the fact that if you open a tin, and can't finish it, the drink stays fizzy for hours, far longer than any other energy drink I have tried, or any carbonated drink for that matter. I'm not sure whether that is a property of the drink itself, or the tall, slim can it comes in. The can I opened last night was still fizzy the following morning - 9 hours later.Created and developed as a brand by a family in Sharples, near Bolton, you really need to give this a try. I will be buying Blu Steel in future, as it's a very good product, and I like to support start up businesses. I hope we will see this in every supermarket before too long. I'm recommending it to all my friends.

Unique taste at a good price
The first thing to take note of before ordering these is that they aren't your standard energy drink flavour. They have a unique taste; I personally really like it by my partner didn't like it at all so it's quite divisive.Obviously, flavour is quite subjective, I personally like the standard energy drink flavour and I usually send to stick to the sugar-free varieties. I don't like monster energy drinks because I find them too sweet. For me I really enjoyed these and the fact that I drank them all within a couple of weeks speaks volumes. The sweetness sits between the standard energy drink taste and monster but has that artificial twinge of blueberry which I enjoy. At first, I wasn't too sure but after my finishing a can I was hooked.They contain zero sugar, zero calories and natural caffeine. So energy-wise the reaction for me is a bit different compared to other energy drinks. After having an energy drink I tend to get an energy spike after about 10-15 minutes which lasts about 20-30 minutes. With these, there isn't that immediate effect but more of a prolonged slightly higher energy level effect. Again this effect might be different for every person, but I found this really helpful for longer workdays which I had to stay focused.These are a really unique energy drink at a good price, and I will be ordering them again in the future.

kinda sickly
I don't really like the flavour it taste too sweet and sickly version of cherry. honest to God Monster gives me energy and tastes way better, this one didn't and it didn't taste nice either, just sadly more waste of money /sigh back to searching for a decent energy drink if I can't find one I'll be going back to Red bull and Monster.

Medicinal sweet cherry flavour is offputting
This is the version intended for those with a sweeter tooth. No clues are given about the flavour on the packing or ingredients list. But it tastes strongly of cherry flavoured medicine. We are wondering what we can disguise the flavour with to get through more of the cans.It is very high caffeine- 132mg per can - which is more than 3 x the 42mg caffeine in a diet coke of the same size and slightly more per volume then Coca-Cola Energy. It is a little less than the 150mg caffeine in a double shot Starbucks espresso. It contains zero sugar - which reduces the risk to your heart apparently, so may be better for you than a chain coffee shop offering.This is the kind of can you carry with you on the way to a day shift if you have spent all night partying. If you consume it regularly it may create caffeine dependence - easy to drink very fast if you are dehydrated. The added B vitamins may help with the hangover too.

I'm a fan of the old energy drinks. Monster, Rockstar, Red Bull. I've even ventured into Rubicon Raw, and others to differing effects, which brings me to Blu Steel.The design on the can looks almost adult when compared to some of the brash colours seen on cans of Monster (I'm eyeballing you Mango one...), smell wise I'd say that this was sweet, it doesn't have the strong smell of Red Bull, so is more akin to some types of Monster.The colour of this looks very much like any number of energy drinks, but how does it taste? WELL, this has a sickly sweet fruity taste to it, not entirely off-putting, but sickly enough for you to take your time over drinking it.However, in terms of giving me some of that "get up and go" that coffee and other energy drinks give, Blu Steel is a bit lacking. I continued to feel lethargic and generally "meh!"This isn't the worst energy drink I've ever had, but it's far from the best, but working out at around £1.40 a can it's cheap enough for most energy drink connoisseurs to have a dabble.

Natural boost of energy when you need it!
I tend to stay away from commercial energy drinks (you know, the one that supposedly gives you wings ;) ), due to the health concerns from caffeine, sugar and taurine. This energy drink BLU STEEL is incredible in all ways. I love the flavour, it has that familiar blue raspberry energy drink taste which is even better drunk chilled or with ice.I also love that the energy drink is packed full of Vitamins, Minerals and even Amino Acids (BCAA). This is ideal hence as a pre/post workout or for when you need that extra motivation to get through the day. Zero Calories and sugar means you can spend more time supercharged with energy and focus living your dream rather than being concerned about your health and what is in your drink.Overall, a 5 star energy drink.
