French Nerds Makeup Brush Cleaner Shampoo and Brush Egg, 2oz

I was a little late to the realization that it is essential to keep up with cleaning your brushes, so mine were a mess by the time I purchased this product. As soon as I put a dab of this stuff on my brushes, it basically dissolved the makeup off of it. YEARS of makeup gone in seconds. Not only did my brushes feel amazing afterwards, they also smelled phenomenal. The cleaner has a really light coconut-like scent to it that is in no way overpowering. All-in-all this has been one of my favorite Amazon purchases to date!

I mean it half cleans your brushes but it leaves a bit of a temporary film and doesn’t even get everything off the brushes. Some of mine were hardly used and it still couldn’t get all the product off and i could still get color transfer onto my skin once the brushes re dried. The smell is kinda funny too.

This wash is just okay. I mostly say this because it has a difficult time getting cream and liquid products out of my brushes. It does fine with powder products such as setting powder and eyeshadow, but I find that I need to wash my brush for concealer at least twice to get all the product out, even when scrubbing it on the purple "Brush Egg." It does smell very nice, and the brush egg is very convenient. I don't really regret buying it, but I wouldn't repurchase the cleaner.

This is a great brush cleaning set. My favorite part is the adorable silicone heart; it works super well to clean denser brushes. The cleanser is good too, but the size is small. Overall a good value!

Bought this as a gift for my sister and she loves it. She says that the scrubbing egg works amazing and really gets her brushes clean. She loves that cleaner has no odor that remains on her brushes after washing them. Other product she used had an odor that she could smell when using the brushes. She is very pleased with this product and would purchase again.

I did not like this. The brush thing and the cleanser are basically useless. I cleaned my makeup brushes with this duo, and then noticed they still didn't seem clean so I cleaned them again with soap and water and SO MUCH make up still came out. So, I'm not really sure what this actually does but I would recommend looking for something else.

I like the clever packaging and the stuff inside as well. I haven't had but like 1 or 2 other brands of brush cleaner, so not much to compare it with, but for the times I have used it, it's worked. I like that it's got Chamomile, Aloe & Jojoba as ingredients as well and that it comes in a kit. If you're looking for a reasonably priced brush cleanser with the cleaning mitt, give it a try.
