Pickleball Paddle Edge Guard - Repair, Replacement or Rimless/Edgeless Add-on Protection

It installs rather easily & does the job of protecting. However -- it must be noted that it adds discernable weight to the paddle above what the paddle weighed when originally purchased. This may be a trade off that's acceptable to beginers & mid-level players but no so to advanced skills.

The media could not be loaded. I would call the edge guard material rubber. It was soft and spongy, and it didn’t seem like a good material for an edge. It is very bulky—didn’t look bad on my paddle, but, as others have said, it adds a lot of weight to the paddle. Since it was like rubber, I had trouble finding a good glue. The glues I used didn’t keep the edge guard in place when playing pickleball. Try paddle doesn’t play well now. Hitting the edge with a ball produces a lot of errors. The material is much to soft. This was my last dutch effort to save the paddle, but now I’m going to trash it—-throwing away the paddle and edge guard. I think there’s a need for edge replacements, but this isn’t it. I can’t recommend this product.

The edge guard is good, the quality of the repair will depend on using the right glue.

First, you will need to apply glue. Second, the form factor does not work as the edging material bends and shows wrinkles instead of wrapping smoothly around the turns. It's just too bulky.
