It smells king of "crispy". It's not a scent that you would wear for a hot date, in my opinion. It's for something more casual, like going on a long walk in the countryside.

I'm a fan of both this Rossellini scent and her "Isabella". Manifesto is unique. Its top note is a sharp fresh basil-herbal note, which dies to a soft white musk in the drydown. I love it for a hot summer day when you want to feel clean and fresh. On the negative side, most men of my acquaintance who have sniffed it have expressed less than positive opinions. One said, "That's sharp!" and the other said it reminded him of an alfalfa field. Never mind. I bought 2 bottles and I'm glad. No other scent I've come across has this sharp fresh herbal cleanliness. Bravo for something different from the endless variations on rose and tuberose and cotton candy.

This is a sublime, multilayered, very feminine scent. I have worn it on dates and felt very attractive. The basil top note is fresh, the middle notes are floral and feminine, and the base is composed of subtle woods.
