WüsthofClassic 4.5 Inch Utility Knife, Black/Silver, 229mm

Bought this as a present for someone who was sick of their knives going blunt. This is a serious bit of kit. The edge on the box-fresh knife is incredible, and it stays that way for a goodly time. If you abuse it by cutting through baby back ribs or suchlike, you can straighten it out with a bog-standard honing steel. If you need to give it an edge again (say, after a few months in the kitchen) get yourself a whetstone and it will be good as new in 20 mins. In the hand, this is a beautifully balanced piece of kitchenware. Well worth the money, because that cheap knife you are considering for half the price will drive you mad very, very soon.

When I opened the box and held it I was a bit concerned that it might be small but it is really sharp and really useful. And being Wusthof it is high quality
