Amazing Quality
I've owned the Tamron 15-30 G2 lens, and this Canon RF lens blows it away completely. It's lighter, sharper, and far less vignetting. I currently use the Tamron 24-70 G2 for my mid-range zoom and now I want to dump it for the RF 24-70. I am attaching two images I took during Christmas Eve service at our church which was very dimly lit. Shot at iso800 and f/2.8 with shutter around 1/60 for the candle shot (35mm) and 1/15 for the ultra wide shot (15mm). I used this lens solely for the night and was able to get great group shots as well as performance shots. Snappy fast zoom, very quiet so I'm sure it would be ideal for video. Plastic feel, but honestly don't care, it keeps the weight down. Plus I prefer the matte finish to help hide fingerprints. Highly recommend.

The only lens I would need for a while.
Big, solid, sharp lens with beautifully smooth bokeh. 3rd and 4th pictures are taken with this lens. Expensive, but happy with the purchase. The only lens I need for now to capture the landscapes I visit.

An unbelievably sharp lens!
This is perhaps the best lens on the Canon R5 camera. I like to have the wide 15mm for landscapes, larger groups, and for full shots of buildings etc., while being able to get to a more portrait-level 35mm. I like having f/2.8, although with IBIS, there are very few situations to have to go that wide. In fact, with IBIS now, I love shooting at f/4, f/5.6 or higher. The only time I go down to f/2.8 is to get the shallow DOF and bokah. This lens is unbelievably sharp ... no question about it! If you are getting the R5 or R6, the trio of RF lenses I'd recommend are this one, the 24-70 f/4, and the 85MM prime. Oh, and not to forget - the control ring feature in the RF lenses is amazing and super useful! I use the rings for ISO ... and it's just great! Love this lens!

My first wide angle L lens! Nicee!
Awesome build quality! sturdy as well. images are top notch with some distortions at the corners but thats to be expected in an ultra-wide. fast fstop is great in lowlight and the bokeh is nice if you isolate your subject from the background otherwise everything seems to be in focus otherwise. I use it mainly for videos and the IS helps a lot. Still waiting on an r body with IBIS but I do have a gimbal so it doesn't really matter to me.

Worth Every Penny
I know is not cheap but we all know that investing on good glass is a good investment as a lens will stay with you 5-10 without problems.During the lifetime of a lens, you will have at least two camera bodies as these will become obsolete or simply the technology advancements will make a newer body more desirable.A lens becomes obsolete maybe after 10 years when a new generation is released so I always think in the cost of a glass like something that will be useful for that timeframe. This one delivers pristine images and I will share some but Amazon compress images so what you see here is a mere downgraded copy of the nice image that I got from my lens.Focus is super fast and accurate. Has a good resistance to flaring and the included hood has a lock mechanism that will prevent moving while attached. Not much to say except get one! L series is top notch.
