Holy wow! This baby is pig-mented! I make sure that I set my primer before I apply this. Then, I lightly put a few specs on the brush and smooth it on my lid from the most intense corner out - technique is key with this. It if is too might, I tone it down with a skin colored powder or blot it with a damp beauty blender or towel. A bit of extra work, but wow! One caveat is - All of the dark colors are red. There are like 3 shades of red on this palette and all are dark and deep enough the the crease. The reds tend to blend together and look like the same color. I tried using one on my lid and ended up with red with red and red - which was not the look I was going for. The shimmers covered the red nicely and looked amazing by contrast to these matte reds. But, so, the look was STUNNING (in a good way) but swatch it your arm before applying it with your eyes. And, practice using the palette when you have time to play around with it and/or plan to blend it with colors from another palette. Or else, you’ll end up looking like Jeffree Star’s red eyeshadow looks on YouTube.

I originally got this inexpensive and brightly-colored fun eyeshadow palette for my daughter to play with seeing how child makeup has been proven to be toxic, however, after trying it, I find myself using it frequently. The colors are vibrant and easy to blend and will stay vibrant all day if applied with a primer, and washes off easily with mild face soap. This particular palette is a bit warm for my skin tone, and a wee bit colorful for my age tbh, so I'm excited to try other palettes from the same brand and see what I can find. Truly a very good deal and a pleasant surprise.

This eye shadow is so pretty. I wish it came in different colors. The red was perfect though and the gold and sparkly ones match the red great. Love this eyeshadow, just don’t layer it on a lot if you don’t want a bold look.
