Ashcroft 5 Piece Iceberg Ice Shaped Whiskey or Bourbon Decanter Set, Unique Crystal Glasses For Liquor, Bourbon, Scotch, Old Fashioned With Gift Box

I've wanted a decanted for many decades to put the best of whiskies in, but couldn't find a design I liked at a price I could afford. Quite by random while shopping around on Amazon, the Ashcroft series came up on my feed so I checked them. I looked at the designs, and the iceberg set was by far (in my eyes) the prettiest and coolest looking, so I ordered the decanted and four glass set.It arrived quickly in a very sturdy box, with foam pads, and a magnetic top. Very serious box. And very serious glassware.I went ahead and washed them, filled the decanter with Maker's Mark, and drank a glass or two to celebrate. The glasses feel great in my hand and are nice and heavy. I'd like a few ounces heavier, but they weighed in at just over 14 ounces on my kitchen scale, so that's pretty good. Some people might not like the square opening of the glasses - the sides aren't exactly straight, but they are close, so if you don't like drinking from straight-sided vessels, try one of the other designs. I have a big mouth, I suppose, so I'm fine with it.All was good until the following morning when I discovered some liquid at the base of the decanter. It was definitely whiskey, and not condensation. Crap! So I poured the whiskey back into the bottle it came from, and filled the decanter with water colored with a lot of bright purple food dye. I left it out for a day on a quarter sheet baking tray, and yep, lots of liquid in the tray. The decanter had at least two minor leaks on two sides.So I emailed the company, which their information sheet in the box said to do if anything was wrong. They promised on the sheet that if anything arrives broken they will replace it. I included some photos of the leaking decanter and a description of where the leaks were coming from.Within a couple days, I had a whole brand new set of a decanter and four glasses, so now I have eight of the iceberg glasses, one working iceberg decanter (which a week later has not leaked at all), and one leaky decanter that I can't bear to throw away because it would make a great display bottle for someone with creative spirit - fill it with sand, maybe, or put some tiny lights in it for some cool mood lighting...They also sent me two glasses of a new design to thank me for letting them know about the bad decanter and including photos. So now I have TEN glasses!Really good quality items, that come in a serious and good quality box that says "There is something inside this box that we, the makers, think is important enough to box it up correctly and non-cheaply to make the owner feel special opening it."Love the design, love the heft (drinking whisky from light glassware has never felt right to me), love the way the light sparkles off the design, and love the service that I received.

Decanter Review: This is an amazing set. I do not think I can think of anything negative to say about this decanter set. First it comes in a beautifully presented box that can be used to display the whiskey. The clarity of the glass is exceptional with no distortions to the liquor through the glass. The decanter, stopper, and whiskey glasses are all heavy which I find as a plus, as it feels sturdy, not fragile, to me. If I were be forced to pull a negative on this set I guess I would have to say it is the stopper. Now is it glass on glass, so pretty much almost impossible to get an airtight seal, but if you get a rubber O-ring and put it on the stopper it will make the seal airtight. I myself have not cared enough to do this as it is as close to an airtight seal you can expect to get with a glass on glass connection.Ashcroft Fine Glassware company review: If you think the decanter is amazing, Ashcroft probably has some of the best customer service I have ever received on an item. When I received the set the stopper had become dislodged and broke one of the glasses. I contacted Ashcroft at 11PM about the issue and by 2AM already had an email confirming my replacement. I stated in the email that only the glass was damaged but Ashcroft went the extra mile to insure I was fully satisfied by asking if I could check for any additional damage to the stopper/etc. Even when I received the replacement and emailed them I got a response in about an hour (please don't expect 1 hour turn arounds for all complaints, I am just stating my experience).. In the set only one glass had broken but Ashcroft sent me two replacement glasses that came in a smaller version of the box your decanter will come in.I have found my glass company. I plan on making any future decanter/glass purchases from this company. I could not be any more satisfied with my purchase than I am feeling now. I can confidently say you will not find anywhere on the net with a decanter set of such quality, great customer care, and just look at it! Absolutely beautiful. Why buy a plain, 100 year old design decanter that will blend in with any decanter around it when you can stick out from the rest?

I purchased a different decanter from another seller previous to this one and it showed up completely broken. I'm glad it did because it forced me to look for a different one which is when I found this...This came in a very solid and stylish box with the glasses and decanter fit perfectly into cut out spots inside some very thick foam. It was actually difficult to get them out of the foam which made me appreciate just how securely packaged it was. I'm very happy with the thickness of the glass used and how heavy both the decanter and glasses are. I didn't want something light and wimpy when pouring myself a nice glass of whiskey on the rocks! So far I haven't found any damages or imperfections in the decanter or any of the glasses. It looks just like it does in the pictures on the product page.I'm also impressed with the level of customer service I have received so far. In the box there was a note from the CEO with a personal email address for any questions or concerns. I have also gotten a couple emails asking if I had received my product and if everything arrived securely and to my satisfaction. Fortunately I haven't needed to use the contact information for any issues since I haven't had any but it's very comforting to know that someone will be there if I need them.This was the first time I've purchased a decanter and what started out as an awful experience turned into a pretty awesome one thanks to the folks at Ashcroft. Ich habe dieses Decanter Set meinem Mann zu Weihnachten gekauft und er war vollkommen begeistert. Die Qualität ist klasse und das Set ist jeden Cent wert! Ich würde es immer wieder kaufen!

La photo du produit envoyait du lourd, mais à réception du produit, je dois dire que le tout est encore mieux en vrai ! Si l'on met de côté 2 ou 3 bulles d'air dans le verre (faut vraiment coller son nez sur les verres ou la carafe), tout est absolument parfait !Le verre est épais (et très lourd), le packaging est magnifique et le design sobre et élégant.Le tout est envoyé dans un colis basique (j'ai eu peur pour la casse pendant le transport), mais il y a une mousse noire qui retient chaque élément dans l'emballage de présentation. Même pas un verré abîmé pendant le transport, rien :)En gros, je suis sure de faire plaisir à mon papa amateur de whisky pour Noël, et je recommande !

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my whiskey loving husband. The moment my eyes fell upon this uniquely designed set, I knew this was the one for him, it practically screamed his name.Ashcroft certainly didn't disappoint. It was securely packaged, delivery was very fast & customer after care was by far the best I've ever experienced.The presentation box was absolutely perfect & really set off such a beautiful whiskey decanter & the four matching glasses it comes with. My husband was blown away when he opened it, he couldn't be happier & neither could I because this earned me a huge amount of wife points =D.

Iceberg Whiskey Decanter Set würde ich niemandem empfehlen.Das Glas ist zu schwer. Das Form ist unbequem. Ich war sehr enttäuscht. Das war ein Geschenk zum Geburtstag. Das Geburtstagskind war auch nicht besonders begeistert.
