Gets the job done
I'm farily new to astronomy so pardon if I don't use the actual technical terms. This is a good product, it gets the job done, it's really stable and holds my D7000 very secure, however, when using the 10mm and 7.5mm eyepieces, I find that I cannot focus since this tube is too long...easily fixable though, I just unscrewed the bottom part and screwed the adapter directly into the telescope. I also noticed it's a little too short to fit the 25mm eyepiece I have, but no matter the 20mm and below fit just fine.

Star Struck!!
Works exactly as it's designed. I use it with my 28mm Sirius Plossl eyepiece. Got some great photos of the moon last night. The only thing I have a problem with is getting a full moon all in one frame. The picture is very crisp though. I'm thinking about adding a 32mm eyepiece to my set so I can have a full moon all in one frame. It would also be helpful to have an eyepiece to leave in the camera adapter the entire time. It's not a very speedy process to remove the eyepiece from the adapter so that I could use it in the telescope. I have not had to use the variable adjustment (magnification) yet. The adapter is very well made and worked great with my Nikon D7100 camera. Can't wait to shoot some planets.

This add on will allow me to experiment with different camera lenses and microscope lenses as well to find that perfect match so
This came to me lightning quick and I appreciate it. Its was bought as an experiment in the works. I have an 8 inch Dob and I am working on a solution to take some video from the telescope. This add on will allow me to experiment with different camera lenses and microscope lenses as well to find that perfect match so videos will come in focus without issue.

This is amazing
This is an amazing piece of kit that hold the camera secure if you are using a mirrorless or DSLR. Dont take the chance with the cheap ones - it is heart breaking to have your camera slip out of the focuser..... this works really well. Worth every penny.

Beware, Amazon is shipping the wrong box
I will update and change this review once I receive the correct piece. Two times now, Amazon has shipped me the 5224 T-Ring adapter instead of this 5340. Upon closer inspection, it looks like someone has mislabeled the box. The box I keep receiving says 5340 on the front, but on the back it says 5224. I am currently trying to resolve this with Amazon (it may be Orion's fault as well). Just beware that you may not receive the correct piece.Update - 2/21/2014I wound up ordering the piece through Orion Telescopes [...] to make sure I got the correct piece. I did in fact get it and began using it. The piece works as advertised, but I have had to do quite a bit of reading to learn how to take good photos for astrophotography. It is not like normal photography.Rest assured if you are looking for a way to connect your camera to a telescope, this will work.

Everybody must need this little guy because it took a while for the manufacturer to get it to Amazon so they could send it to me. It's made out of strong metal and fits my canon 5D very well. Sometimes connectors feel a little loose when you mount them to the body of a camera but this one doesn't. The need for this device is paramount for imaging the stars with a full frame sensor so if you have that type of canon this is what you need. Thanks Amazon

Works for me.
I used this with a standard Meade T-mount adapter for a Canon 7d and a 150 mm Newtonian reflector. It worked great the first time out.I noticed a few negative reviews about eyepieces not fitting. The inner barrel diameter of the eyepiece holder measures about 38 mm. This handles a lot of standard 1.25 eyepieces. I don't know if anyone makes one any wider than this since it needs to be compatible with standard T-rings. A "non-variable" length adapter could be made wider but that might limit your ability to adjust the distance for appropriate focusing. The variable length feature also allows some control over magnification with by Newtonian.

It Works!
This is way better than trying to hold a phone over the eyepiece. Just be away that you need the proper camera ring mount. Also, make sure you tighten down the tripod clutches as the weight of the camera will want to tilt your telescope.

Good quality and works as intended
I got this for my son's Canon EOS 5DS. It's a very snug fit (no wobble that I could tell). The tube is tapered slightly at the camera end so there's no chance of it slipping out of the telescope focuser when inverted. it's threaded inside the tube to reduce stray light, and a 2" filter can be screwed to the end of the tube. My only negative points are very minor ones, 1. it should come with a dust cover for the tube to protect the sensor when not in the telescope (not a big deal, I have a few of these sitting around), and 2. the red dot to line up the adapter with the camera should be bigger (the one on his is smaller than a pin head). Overall, a very good quality adapter.

Excellent quality - works as advertised
Fits onto my Nikon D3400 perfectly (just like a lens) - solid connection with no wobble. Works as intended and I've had no issues with it when mounted on the telescope. Overall, I'm very happy with it.
