Customer support doesn't exist
The heater arrived as promised. Installation went well but exhaust vent pipe diameter was too small. The 8000 btu exhaust vent pipe was sent instead of the 11000 btu furnace. No problem the instructions had a parts manual and instructions to contact company distributor regarding warranty and/or parts. Contacted US stove company and gave them correct part number, after 2 calls back and forth they said they cannot get any parts for these heaters and recommended me to remove from wall and box it up and send back. You got to be kidding me. They packaged a 3" vent pipe and I needed a 4" vent pipe. So I went to a local heating plumbing company and purchased a 4" vent and the furnace has been working great. Sad thing is where would I get major replacement parts when the distributor said they can't get parts for this thing. Customer service from this company does not exist so if I could rate that only it would be a zero but the little furnace is currently working fine and I will balance the review to a 3.

Works at -35F
I bought this heater to put in my 12-16ft cabin here in Fairbanks, Alaska. I only needed it for guests in the spring and fall and had no intentions of running it during the winter. We had an unexpected guest arrive with the temperatures hovering at -35F the stove running full tilt kept the cabin around 65 degrees. My insulation is( R-13 walls and R-25 ceiling, 10 ft walls) The heater took a couple tries to get it lit at those temperatures and the controls moved like frozen molasses but it worked. The only problem I had was not with the stove, but with the propane bottle and regulator freezing. I ended up making a little warm box for the propane bottle and wrapped a battery blanket around the propane.Running full steam 24/7 it consumed 1 standard 25lb propane cylinder every 2 days. Sure its not the most efficient stove, but its not $1500 bucks either. Excellent product, buy it.

Good little heater
I installed this to heat a small building. It took some fiddling, but is heating nicely now. If you get this, there are a couple things to be sure to do that will make it better from the start. First: get your gas fittings and measure how much clearance you need for them plus a little more to make it easier to install. The minimum they have from the floor to mounting bracket is 6", but that isn't enough. Second: be sure to remove the thermostat from where they put it for shipping and follow the instructions on where to mount it. If you don't move the thermostat, the heater will work, but it won't stay on long enough to heat much of anything. I forgot to move it and thought there was something wrong with the heater because it wasn't putting out much heat. Finally figured out it was the thermostat so now it works good.

Basic, too much heat for our bedroom
We purchased this heater 2 years ago for use in our bedroom. Even on the low setting it is often too much for our 220 sf bedroom. Our temperatures rarely dip below 30 here in far NorCal. We used to have an Ecotherm with lower output and adjustable thermostat, but they don't seem to in business any longer. Still looking for direct vent wall furnace with ~ a 5k BTU rating. Still, I prefer the propane heat to electric.

it works fine
it works fine uses quite abit of propane but I would rather have heat then not. it turns off and on a lot thermostat controlled. I use a small battery fan to help move the heat away from the unit and spread it around the trailer

It works good but the igniter is broke
It works good but the igniter is broke. It would not light so I took the cover off and saw the cord was not in the ceramic part so I just stuck it in there for now, don't know how long it will last.

It worked only once and only well enough to fill my home with obnoxious fumes... now my house is worth less due to the holes cut in order to accommodate this worthless unit and despite how terrible the fumes of the single instance it did run, it will not even do that anymore... it is a huge loss with absolutely no gain...After cutting a cross-threaded nut/bolt i found that the igniter was incredibly jerry rigged... i managed to make the unit work and understand how/why it failed however it shouldn't be required..If you are going to cut noticeable holes in your house, i would not advise doing over such a poor quality eyesore...

Nice except they delivered a unit with cosmetic damage and it was supposed to be like new/repackaged. It was also missing a part.

So far so good, the install was very easy started up and placed it on high for 20 min to burn out the industrial oils then needed to vent the room to get the smells out but this was expected. If you are in the possibility to do so, a temporary intall in a garage or outside would allow you to do the initial burn without the smells gathering in the room.

Overpriced in general
Even though I got a great deal, it’s been finicky and turns off on the regular. The price has jumped which is ridiculous as these are cheap as chips in Argentina where they are made.UPDATE: product failed after less than a year. I don’t believe it’s a very solid product. Not sure what my warranty choices are, if it’s available at all.

It works, but install requires additional parts.
Once it's lit, it's fine, but the design and construction are somewhat lagging. For installation, you have to remove the mounting bracket from the heater as it's shipped, fasten the bracket to the wall, then reattach the heater. No problem there, but the bracket is made from pretty thin steel, and the bottom part cannot support the heater independently. Once you get the bottom nuts spun on, and you are finally able to get short the top screws in place, they are simply not long enough to support the top bracket. IMO, you will need to supply a couple of narrow bolts+washers+nuts to secure the top bracket. I used tie wire, because I was remote and it's all I had. It looks bad, but it'll hold until I'm out there again, with more hardware. The propane hookup in the base of the heater is female, and my regulator & hose has a female gas end, so I needed a brass converter. I bought several, ended up using one that looks like this: LDR 509 19-14-8 Male Brass Gas Line Fitting, 15/16-Inch Flare x 1/2-Inch MIP for the correct size of connections. I tried a double-ended male-male gas fitting, but the female fitting on the heater is so deep that it would not make a seal. The fitting I did use catches the thread, but really doesn't spin in very far. Either I don't understand what US Stove is expecting me to supply here, or the propane connection is quite poorly made. I'll be taking a steel nipple out next time, seeing if that make the connection less questionable. The vent/intake pipes are kinda short IMO, I would like to replace them with something a bit longer, but they clear a normal stud wall thickness readily. You get one steel plate with no screw holes, to run your external piping through. I'm still not sure how that plate is expected to stay in place, unless I frame it in with more wood around the edges. I put mine on the outside paneling. Not sure what I'll do about the inside, once I've got something covering the walls.Once it was all hung & hooked up, it worked just as the manual said. Pilot lights & stays, thermostat controls to the relative number (1-10) you've selected on the temperature dial. It held back the cold quite easily, the one night I've used it. Set on "2", I could barely hear it. The light from the flame shines up through the view port in the top, casts a small bit of blue light upward, so when you roll over at night and wonder if it's still on, it's easy to see. If you're kinda handy, and the price is right, you can put in a little extra effort and make this work. LDR 509 19-14-8 Male Brass Gas Line Fitting, 15/16-Inch Flare x 1/2-Inch MIP

nice colour.
nice colour ... it does come with everything you need to hook it up to the wall ... it would have been more complete if they had installed a fan
