Decent paddle and case for the price
I actually bought the paddle for myself unlike most of the other reviews. After about 2 months of using it about 2-3 hours per week, I can say it's a pretty decent paddle for the cost. Whereas a lower quality paddle might be falling apart or peeling, this paddle has stayed in good shape. The paddle is a bit on the thick side and is a bit heavy, but you become accustomed to the weight and thickness with time. It comes with a simple, but functional case that helps protect the paddle when not in use.One complaint is that the paddle has a very strong chemical smell (probably glue and plastics) when you first receive it. It eventually dissipates, but during those first few weeks it is quite odoriferous.

Broke under 2 months (replaced by Dealergy)
UPDATE: Got a replacement from Dealergy few days after the review. Great service. TYOld Review Below. 4 stars is the paddle. 5 stars to Dealergy.Good: Got 4 of these delivered on (12/14). Good packaging, fast delivery and a very nice case. Spin and power is great. They are slightly heavy, but you get used to it in a few days.Bad: Had been going strong for almost 2 months now. Chose this over a lot other similar priced options as this is the only one with hardly any reviews saying it broke after a month (and it was Prime Shipping). So here is the bad. On (2/8) out of nowhere one of them just broke. All 4 are used interchangeably. We generally play doubles, 3 games to 21, about 30-40m per day, 4-5 days a week and no hitting the table or such is going on. So pretty much the same wear and tear. Other 3 are still going strong, so that makes a 25% chance of lemons for these. Fun part is the wooden ones that come with the table, though completely useless from a gameplay perspective are still in one piece. Maybe it gets crushed due to its own weight.Oh and the window to replace closed 1/31. So it knew to break right after ;). But no need to worry. We totally blamed the poor guy who was using it at that time.

Great paddle overall.
Excellent sticky grip, I can apply some ridiculous spin easily with this paddle.A few things to note before you buy, if you have any real experience on a ping pong table.-Heavier than most paddles I've used, not an issue if you have the wrist strength to compensate for your speed moves.-Stiffer rubber than most paddles I've used, resulting in much higher ball speed. Also not an issue if you can compensate with softer hits, but took a while to get to where I wouldn't over-hit a top-spun ball. Comes in handy sometimes to surprise your opponent with a fast ball without much body language or movement required.-Handle is shorter than most STIGA brand paddles I've used. I have fairly large hands though.-Good case included to help extend the life of the paddle and keep it from getting dirty. Also a strong rubber smell, I've had mine for two weeks now and smell is still there. Doesn't bother me, but to some it might be an issue. For the cost, this is a good paddle/case combo.

Paddle broke in two after a month of play in my office. Also had small defect on red face from manufacture.

Thick handle.
The handgrip on this paddle is thicker than most I think. So not ideal for players who use the handshake grip. What happens is that the thicker handle pushes out your index finger away from the paddle. The weight is a little heavy to my liking.Nice cover though.

Outstanding paddle
Outstanding paddle. When we got our new table we decided to try three new rackets - the Slyspin, a higher priced premium model and a comparable model at the same level. The Slyspin turned out to be outstanding. It has good action off the paddle and provides excellent spin and control. It's amazing how much difference a paddle like the Rapture makes over the type of typical entry level paddle that you see at most tables. If you play the game you owe it to yourself to give the Slyspin a shot. The money is well worth the improvement you'll see in your game.

Seems like a good average paddle but the build quality is not good, the rubber is uneven on both sides, the handle looks cheap and the wood it's a little cracked on one side of the handle, the finishing on the wood is not smooth and you will feel it in your hands after 15-20 mins playing. It does put a good spin on the ball and absorbs hard returns pretty well but based on the previous reviews I was expecting a little bit more.

Decent paddle for a decent price
I think this is a decent paddle. I'm not super competitive but I do enjoy playing. The people I play with have Stigas and Killerspins so I opted to get this one to see how it stacked up. Honestly, I think it is nearly as good. It is a bit more heavy but I kind of like it. To me, it seems to have a bit more absorption. The ball flies off the Stigas and Killerspins a little faster. I don't think its a bad thing, just something to get used to. It does have a strong adhesive smell at first but that wears off after a few uses. The carrying case is a nice bonus (would be better if it had a ball pocket). The adhesive on the rubber is a little weak around the edges. I've used it for a little over a month (playing a few hours 3-4 times a week) and the edges are coming up a bit. The Stigas and Killerspins don't seem to have this issue.Overall, for the price, it's a good option for the person who is decent and enjoys playing. I would recommend it.
