I ordered this after asking my boss, said we need something short to remove hard red clay in the south. We bore water/sewer lines and often need to dig out earth/clay around the steel casings. This works great. They made fun of me for ordering it, then they all said it was great! Good stuff. Only thing is the handle has that cheap coating over plain wood, I scraped that off and soaked it in boiled linseed oil for a few weeks. Fantastic tool now! Most picks are twice as long...

We looked everywhere for this little pick ax for my son, but could not find it in a store. My mother had one and it was his favorite digging tool. I finally found out the company name and was so happy to find it online. I am sure this is not intended for a 5-year-old, but he LOVES to dig and knows how to use this wonderful sturdy built tool. thanks for a great product available online.

the Seller refunded a percent and I was able to fix it but it does not come ready to use.

This pic, I believe, will do the job - digging the ground to uncover metal detector finds. The handle is long enough for a good swing and the weight is heavy enough for digging but light enough to carry. However, the picture of the pick is somewhat deceiving: instead of the pointed end being long and thin, it is broad near the handle and narrows down to a point.;it fooled me. I prefer the usual narrow, pointed end for better depth, but still I am not that unhappy with this pick, because the other qualities make up for the deceptive picture.

It is useful for weeding. The handle is convenient for one-hand use. The weight is good. The only thing I would improve is the length of the mattock. It would be more useful if the mattock were nearly as long as the pick

I love this thing. Great utility item for its size and is back-packable. Always take camping.

Use it single handed, or both- very tidy and neat for smaller jobs. Trumpet vine, bittersweet, breaking up soil... a breeze!
