Great product but needs better packaging, hence the 4 stars !
I'm hooked on this seed mix from Thames, and have just received, another 1 Kg pack.The Thames bag is made with paper lined with an impermeable plastic film, tightly packed and resealable. Unfortunately the pack was delivered in a loose brown paper bag and dropped through the letterbox (not "handed to resident" as recorded). Whilst the outer bag was intact the heavy seed bag had split at the base and was leaking into the loose outer wrapper. Neither Amazon nor Thames accept any responsibility for this and I have placed the seed in another container on the assumption that it is not contaminated and safe for consumption.My issue is that this courier packaging is inadequate for the rough handling likely to occur during transit.I note that similar sized and much lighter (10 L) bags of meal worm arrive better packed (in a padded cardboard box) and the birds are much less fussy about their food !
