Pacsafe Slingsafe LX300 Anti-Theft Backpack, Tweed Grey

I was looking for something to act as a carry-on bag/purse and day-trip backpack during an international trip. I took my Canon camera, an extra lens, battery charger, cell phone, planner, lip stick and lip balm, keys, baby wipes (I'm a mom so I always have these), water bottle, pens, wallet, and Kindle as a representative set of things I'd be likely to carry and tried them in several different backpacks. The Slingsafe LX300 is a nice bag, but it was too small for what I was looking for. I like a lot of pockets to put different categories of items in, and this didn't deliver. There was a separate pocket on the inside that I put my planner in (could also be used for a tablet or small laptop) and a small outer pocket for smaller items. Because of the construction of the bag, the outer pocket only expands inward, so it just takes up more interior space. There was also no outer pocket for a water bottle. So this bag is small and cute and had some nice features like a hook to hold zippers in place to guard against theft, but it didn't suit my needs. Could be good for day trips if you have only a few items to carry around.

The media could not be loaded.  Something I noticed when I bought this backpack: the photos on amazon vary based on which color you're browsing. Because of this: some features are not showcased in certain colors. I purchased the black slingsafe LX300. However, when I was choosing colors I noticed the gray one shows that you can un-clip one of the straps (right side when the backpack is on your back). This is useful if you're anchoring the bag to a table leg. The locking mechanism is simple but effective.There is a hidden clip/lobster claw(?) which allows you to quickly secure the large zipper in addition to the "lockable kissable zip sliders" which allow you to lock the zippers with a TSA lock (not my phrase, pulled it from the PacSafe site).There are several inner pockets, one of which has been advertised to fit a 15" Macbook I believe. While I do not intend to carry my laptop with me it does fit my 8.5 x 11 inch sketchbook nicely. (Also, I'm a Windows user. *cues unintended brand war*)I felt that looking on the original site sold me on this backpack more than Amazon did, but I end up purchasing through Amazon. I highly suggest looking at pacsafe.com to better understand the features this product offers (though I did try to include some photos to help potential buyers).I'm buying it for a trip I will be taking in a few months so I can follow up performance-wise then, but for now I love it for the comfort, amount of space & peace of mind this item offers me!

This back pack is the perfect size for me. It is lightweight so i can pack what i need without the extra weight of the bag itself. I especially love the security features it has. I feel more comfortable knowing thst it cannot be accessed from the back and that it cannot be cut. Because it is light weight, it is comfortable to wear over my shoulders.

I bought this bag for a two week trip to Italy. I also had a small carry on roller luggage that held the majority of my clothes and toiletries but This bag was used to hold my smaller items that I would need inflight or on trains/ferries. It was exactly what I needed. It is small but it held everything I needed it to. It is secure and very nice looking. Since returning from my trip I have used it daily as a work bag (I’m a nurse) and I still love it!

This backpack worked SO GREAT for my trip to Italy last week! It is the perfect size, it would hold my DSLR camera, umbrella, passport, wallet, sunglasses, iPad, and jacket without feeling heavy. I was impressed that with it all loaded up it didn't feel like I was holding a ton of bricks so the weight distribution is awesome. I kept it locked while walking around Italy and didn't have any issues with people trying to get into it because of the security features. I also loved the red color, but I'm partial to bright colors. I do wish it has a place to hold a water bottle on the outside but it can fit one inside if need be. Overall this backpack was great - I will keep using it for international travel.

I don't think there is anything I don't like about this backpack. It's sturdy and roomy. I have used it everyday since it was delivered. It sits very comfortably on my shoulders and back.I carry a 10" notebook, a fat spring-bound notebook, a textbook, an umbrella, a water bottle, a pencil case, a hand towel, snacks, a smartphone, file folder and other odds and ends. I walk about 7000-9000 steps on average everyday with this on my back but I do not experience back pain. I love this backpack. My only wish? Wish it also came in purple!

We have a venture safe 25L that I wear when we travel and do things and my better half has been using it for work carrying 15" MBP to work on public transportation. The venture safe was to big for her and hit her tailbone. She's now used this pack for a week and loves it. It fits her MBP as well as everything else she needs with plenty of room to spare. It's light and comfortable plus we have the extra comfort of it being much less likely to be slashed and having the RFID pouch to protect our cards, licenses and passports.

Took this through 3 countries this month. I absolutely loved it. This bag fell in dirt and water and it cleaned up beautifully. You'd never have known it was also run over by a stroller.My ONLY two complaints is that I wish it had an outside pocket for a water bottle AND a slot or two for a pen(s).Otherwise, I filled this up with a change of clothes, ipad, snacks, plane/train tickets and at one point my small purse. A truly fantastic and functional backpack.

Bought as a gift for my cousin who will be commuting to and from university. I also bought the discrete zip padlocks to go with it.(I, and many others, were pick-pocketed while at uni, and I didn't want him to have the same experience).More than big enough for his laptop, a couple of A4 notebooks, and other student paraphernalia.I wish I'd had something like this when the rats who went around my campus helping themselves to other peoples' stuff we're prowling!

Great rucksack. I have one of the crossbody bags and wouldn't go on holiday without it. Because the rucksack locks it make you feel safe knowing your belongings are safe inside the bag. Would certainly recommend buying this. May get another one for my daughter.

Fantastic bag with added piece of mind with it’s security features. Very durable, wipes clean and not overly heavy. Clean minimalist look and simple with no silly pockets that serve no purpose.

I really like this backpack - lovely colour. Holds a lot. I bought two and returned this one because I preferred the tote back for the needs I have, but would not want to discourage anyone from buying it because it is smashing!

+ Comfortable to wear+ quality built- the small pocket could have used more inner pockets. Lacks some functionality- thinner than it looks in pictures, will have to get the pacsafe 30L variants
