Yes the seat is easy to remove.The seat has square tubing post that fits into the hollow square tubing which is attache to the base of the cart. You just lift the seat out.

Q: Why is the seat advertised as having a storage compartment, yet the one I received did not?

This seat has never had a storage compartment. Amazon needs to correct the description.

Great Seat, Worth Every Penny!

Got to have the seat when you're walking and this one delivers everything you need. My second one and it is performing just as well as the first.

Just 1 screw to install bracket to cart. There is an extra bracket to fit other models.

It does not have the tray under the seat but it is very comfortable and easy to install. Seat just slips in the bracket, is built heavy and durable. Would like some thick rubber padding at bottom of leg as sometimes you may be on pathways which would scratch the bear metal.

Really good seat -

This is a great seat - it fits well, but a bit challenging to figure out how to install - directions could be a hell of a lot easier and clearer, otherwise, a great purchase.
