Great Boot 😃 Too Wide for Me 😕
If you have a wide foot, these boots are for you!! Outstanding quality, thick leather, proper Goodyear welt, and a great lug sole. But my feet are rather narrow, so I'll be ordering a custom pair from the Jim Green website.

Good quality leather and stitching, very comfortable with a different insole.
I am impressed with the quality of this boot. It’s definitely worth the money. They ran true to size for me. I however must say that the insole, if you want to call it that is of very very poor quality. It’s like a piece of cardboard. I put a Thorogood insole in it and they are very comfortable. I recommend this boot. I hope they improve the insole.

First Impressions
I like Chelsea/Romeo style boots, but it's difficult to find one that's more suited to outside work. These boots fit that bill, and can be had at a better price than a few other companies that also make a more work worthy version of this boot style. Toe box had enough room for my heavier socks when I tried them on (Midweight merino- I'm in the American South so that's probably as heavy as I need to go in colder weather). With things as they are in the US, I haven't had the opportunity to use them in fieldwork yet, I've just worn them around on errands and driving, and they've been comfortable. I plan to use them for fieldwork in rotation with a pair of Jim Green Razorbacks.

Worth it.
Easy to put on. Built sturdy yet comfy after breaking it in.

Great boots for the price, stiff at first
Today officially marks 3 months that I have owned these boots and right off the bat I would buy them again. When I received them, I did notice the small cosmetic issues that I had heard about. Some random glue spots here and there, it just seemed as if they were put together fast. They are well built tho, very tough and very durable. So far I wear them to work in an office about 2 times a week, and I took them on 4 camping trips we went on in the past 3 months. I was hiking around in the woods, walking through streams, kicking firewood (while on fire) and other campsite stuff. When I get home, I clean them off with saddle soap and use bicks #4. The pics are from today, so you can see they are aging well and hardly show any damage except a bit at the toes. One thing is the break in was miserable. They’re so stiff, I had to wear them half days at first. I would say it took a good month for me to break them in.I would recommend these to any friend or family member!

Incredible boot for the money
These boots are a great value for the money. Ethically made and supports their local economy in South Africa. The lugged sole has great traction and grip in both wet and dry conditions. The tan leather is a very handsome shade. I could see the boot being a little roomier for some, but I have a wider foot and the boots fit me perfectly, true to size. These are definitely more work-oriented than fashion-oriented. There are certainly sleeker chelsea boots out there. But the Stockmans will be able to handle anything you’d throw at them and will last a lot longer (they are able to be resoled) than many other comparable boots. These are my first Jim Greens and I can absolutely see myself getting a pair of their Razorbacks in the future.

You must buy it!
Super comfy, well constructed, SOLID boots. And I'm telling u the toebox is nice and roomy, but they don't look like duck shoes. Not that I have anything against duck shoes at all. They're just wide in the toes so you can spread those mf out like God intended.Soles are RUGGED and I love the fact they can be resolved in the future.Just buy them !
