I suggest removing the bottom lid with the type of an opener which 'unpeels', rather than cuts the can, then the item won't get hurt, also the 'decoy' can will now be fun to find in with your other canned cupboard items :)

So, yes, it's a little pricey for what it is, but it's cute so it's ok. The one thing i will say is that i got it for a 3 year old who initially freaked out because she thought there was a real turtle in the can. Even after it was opened, she was convinced it was real, but it was all ok once we took it out. The plush is cute..Would i buy one of the other ones? probably not, but for a one time cute little gift, it worked out

I bought the land and sea turtles for my twin daughters, who are both crazy about turtles. They were a huge hit. The wrapping on the can is full of cute quips and information. The can itself is actually metal, which I didn't expect. It opened with a regular can opener without leaving any sharp edges. The stuffy itself is darling and the girls played with them all weekend. One thing I didn't expect is that both stuffies are identical -- the sea turtle can actually has a land turtle in it (no flipper feet) but it doesn't change the fact that it was super cute and very much loved by my daughters.

My daughter loves stuffed animals so when I stumbled on this I knew it would be the perfect gift. I wish I had recorded her opening the present. When my husband went to open the can for her she was afraid to even smell it at first thinking it was really canned turtle. The laughs that evening were well worth the price and I plan to buy these for gifts for other family members in the future. The stuffed animal inside is a very nice quality and has been well loved since we freed him from his tin can.Just be aware you do need a real can opener to get into this you can't get into it without one!

My girlfriend loves turtles and is also vegan. I thought it'd be silly to get "canned turtle" as a joke gift and she enjoyed it much more than I was expecting

This was my 10 year old son's absolute favorite Christmas present! He was skeptical of the sealed can it came in, and doubly skeptical when he took it to the can opener to open it, at our prodding.When the can opened, he thought it was very cool. We finally had to put the can up, he was originally storing his turtle in it and wanted to keep it, but it was getting too beat up. Very fun, simple present. The turtle has held up to nightly loving very well.

My kids were little when I had gifted them one of these. They have never forgotten it and this was a great gift to give something from their childhood past. Great quality and great whimsy way to give a stuffed anmial! Perfect stocking stuffer.

These cans would be so cute if they didn’t put this additional darn UPC label on them!! It takes up almost the entire length of the can! They put it on every can and it is impossible to get off without damaging the label!
