Surprisingly good
Bought these to replace the earbuds I was using in my helmet. I have an HJC RPHA 70, and the cheek pads are really bulky, so putting it on without ripping off my earbuds in the process was always a challenge. Taking it off ALWAYS ripped out my earbuds.I'd read reviews that said these XSound 3s were some of the best sounding in-helmet speakers you could get, so I figured I'd try them and see if they could compare to a $400 pair of ANC earbuds. I coupled them to a cheap UGREEN 5.3 BT adapter that was small enough to velcro onto the inside of my helmet. (I don't need comms, just music/GPS, and the BT adapter being right in front of my mouth means I can take a phone call if absolutely necessary)I wasn't expecting much, but they actually sound very good. I thought the wind noise would wash out the sound, but I didn't have that problem, and never had to turn them up higher than ~70% volume at (above) highway speeds. Bass was good too once I played with my music app's EQ settings to boost it a but more, although still not as strong as my Sony XM4 earbuds. More than good enough to enjoy my favorite music, while still being able to hear a bit of my bike's engine noise, horns honking, sirens, etc. Better than with my earbuds, where I felt slightly unsettled not being able to hear around me in city/commuter traffic.Follow the instructions and take the time to set them up properly. They're very directionally dependant, so take a few minutes to test and move them around inside the helmet so they're centered on your ear. The difference in sound quality from dead center to slightly off is significant. Also, take advantage of the 'spacers' they provide to move them closer to your ears. There's 3 pairs, and I used 2 pair to get them as close to my ears as I could while still being able to don and remove the helmet without them hitting or rubbing anywhere. Some small gripes. They were mislabelled Right and Left, so I had to remove and reinstall them. Minor one-time issue, but thought it was worth noting. Check before you install them. The cords feel on the cheap, flimsy side. Being semi-permanently installed in the helmet, they probably won't see a lot of abuse, but at this price it would have been nice to see something more robust, maybe even a braided nylon. The 45 degree 3.5mm connector is a bit bulky, and I would have preferred a slimmer 90 degree, but ultimately it doesn't matter. It was meant to attach to a comms headset on the OUTSIDE of the helmet, rather than inside like I have it, but the BT adapter I have is small enough that I can still make everything work without the connector popping up in my field of vision.Price. I felt the $145CDN I paid was on the steep side. No battery, no DAC or AMP, no MIC, nothing. Just 2 speakers and some short cords. I recognize that you pay a 'Bike Tax' for motorcycle specific accessories, but I held off trying these for a long time because of the price. At <$90, I would have bought them Day 1.All in, I think they're worth the money, if just barely, and only if your current comm/adapter setup still takes a 3.5mm jack. A lot are going to proprietary jacks, especially the cheap ones.I hit the Buy Now button fully expecting to have to send these back, but they proved themselves almost immediately. Those long rides are going to be that much better now.

Good quality, but......
Good quality sound. However,Only when you get them placed in your helmet in such a way, that they end up exactly at your ears, against your ears. When the position is off, you very quickly loose the low and volume.

Night and Day
I got a Cardo Spirit HD unit a few days ago. The speakers that came with it are just terrible, unless you prefer your music with absolutely no bass. I got these speakers to replace the stock Cardo 45mm speakers. These are a massive improvement. They actually have bass. Do they sound perfect? No. They are speakers that are in a helmet, not 400 dollar headphones. But if you're disappointed in Cardo's stock speakers then get these.
