I wanted to like this. I really did. The positives: no drip and virtually no brush strokes. Don’t be like me and skip priming. The product is supposed to be an all-in-one. I cleaned my project, I scuff-sanded and cleaned again as specified in the instructions. Two words: bleed through. After two coats and experimental coating of bleed through spots with a third, there was still the very disappointing bleed through. I gave up and started over with a blocking primer. My project didn’t have to be this difficult. I will NEVER again skip the primer. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Color names are confusing and they charge over 90% for a restocking feeBlack Sands isn't black. There is a color chart and now that I have seen the paint with my own eyes I see the difference but in the listing it is confusing, especially to someone using this paint brand for the first time. This was my first time buying Dixie Belle and it will be my last.

Nice paint that level out on it own

I have used Jolie, Annie Sloan, and Dixie belle chalk mineral paint. I had high hopes for this silk line but I am so disappointed and now have a horrible finish on my furniture piece. I thoroughly researched how to apply this paint knowing that it is different than a chalk paint. It is so thick and it like painting on a primer. Used a Dixie belle synthetic brush as recommended and my piece is covered in brush strokes. Definitely NOT silk or “self leveling” as Dixie claims. I will not be purchasing this paint again and wish I could get my money back and time I’ve spent and will be to spend to re-do my piece.

Easy to use and clean up, the paint goes on so smooth. Great product and will buy more!
