I was seeking a lock that actually locked, wasn’t too expensive, and blended in with my industrial style cabinet. Obviously this isn’t going to keep a thief out, but it works great to prevent my toddler from opening my display and dragging everything out. They’re very small and not noticeable from a distance, which is perfect in this application. They’re strong enough to deter a curious child, although I’m sure they are easy for a determined thief to pick or just simply break. The key is also quite cute and you could make it and/or the lock into a necklace.

I needed a small padlock for a project I was working on and these fit the purpose. I like the fact that they come in a 2 pack.

I was really let down by these small locks. The build quality feels cheap, and they don’t seem very secure. After just a few uses, one of the locks started sticking and was difficult to open. The key mechanism is flimsy, and I worry about its effectiveness in safeguarding my belongings. Overall, not worth the purchase—look for a more durable option if you need reliable security.

Like to use them as a nice visual on chests I build for DnD players, The old look sets off the fantasy look well. No idea how stout they are, I got them for their looks.
