Great purchase, I really enjoyed watching the movie again.

A film where everyone-actors, director, support staff of every denomination produced a masterpiece. This is Citizen Kane or Annie Hall in Viet Nam. Perfect in both iterations and the documentary. Buy it, be entertained and amazed, and learn a few things.

This movie is one of my top ten movies. It's premise is the hipocracy of war. Kurtz is an American that has gone rogue during Vietnam. Many quotes that are mainstream such as I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Disturbing, but that is what war is.

Dvd case had slight damage upon delivery nothing too serious but if I'd been shopping in person I would have picked another undamaged item, shame.

I wanted the original version of the movie. I may be in the minority, but I feel the original version flows better than the redux. This blue ray gives you both versions plus heart of darkness.

Favorite scene is when they get to the DeLong bridge because it shows the real mania of what Vietnam really was. The guys trying to get on the boat and panicking to get out of there. No matter what.

Apocalypse Now is a classic directed by a legend, a must have for anyone who enjoys movies. The extras are great. The Heart of Darkness is worth the purchase. BluRay is beautifully done.

This triple feature package of the 1979 film Apocalypse Now is great for dedicated fans as well as for people who have never seen this Francis Ford Coppola Vietnam film. The package contains the shorter (153 minutes) original theatrical release, the much longer Apocalypse Now Redux (2001, 202 minutes), as well as a documentary by Coppola's wife Eleanor, Hearts of Darkness, that tells the fascinating story of how Apocalypse Now was made.It does not include the more recent (2019) version Apocalypse Now: Final Cut.For someone seeing the film for the first time, I would recommend the original theatrical version, which tells the story without some of the extraneous scenes that are in the Redux version. But having seen the original a number of times, I enjoyed the Redux version, which adds some additional depth. Notably, there is a longish scene in Redux set at a French plantation which provides a glimpse of Vietnam's history as a French colony before the Americans moved in.The documentary is almost as gripping as the feature. Fresh off the success of his Godfather series, Coppola had the funds (mortgaging their house) and reputation to get Apocalypse Now made, even though it ran way over budget and survived a number of its own catastrophes -- the firing of lead actor Harvey Keitel, a heart attack and breakdown of his replacement, Martin Sheen, and a tropical storm that destroyed the lavish sets. Even the helicopters loaned by the army of the Philippines, where the movie was shot, were sometimes snatched back by the army just as Coppola was preparing to shoot a scene with them.One of the first Vietnam movies made after the war ended, the film is often surreal and self indulgent, but with a cast of brilliant stars and outstanding cinematography, it is one of the best films every made, if you can give a pass to the less-successful ending.It is loosely based on the 1899 Joseph Conrad novella Heart of Darkness about a boat trip up the Congo River, also in search of a Kurtz who has gone mad.This triple feature package is a great way to explore this movie in its various forms as you realize that such a movie could never be made today because it doesn't fit the predictable formulas of today's studio-dominated schmaltz.

Excelente pelicula ya de culto y trae 2 versiones .muy recomendable .la pelicula nos muestra la locura a la que llegan los soldados cuando estan inmersos en la guerra
