The microscope light wouldn't come on after 2 weeks. I took it to a battery / bulb store and they were not able to help me. The bulb or fuse should not blow after such a short amount of time

This scope, is a hidden treasure. It's actually a Walter scope. Build quality is high with a feature rich design. Optics are bright, clear and solidly mounted. Which is not surprising. This thing is built like a tank. Solid metal frame; securely locking, ball bearing nosepiece, and the mechanical stage is solid and smooth. The reverse nosepiece makes loading slides, or adding immersion oil a breeze.I researched scopes for a long time before settling on this one. If you look closely, it is my belief that no matter who's name is on the scopes, they are probably all made by one company. This one stood out, and while like the others, it is made in China. The quality control, features and design make this one worth twice as much.With care I see this scope lasting for years of learning and enjoyment.

As a professor/supervisor in a medical research lab, a good microscope to me is an absolute necessity. I was in desperate need of a replacement microscope as the one I had been using for nearly 10 years was no longer performing. The MU50 Binocular Compound Microscope was advertised at a great price and had all the specifications I was looking for. I purchased it unaware of what to expect and with great anticipation waited for its arrival.I couldn’t be happier with my selection. I have worked/taught in a lab for the better part of my adult life and have yet to find a microscope with such quality, precision and versatility. I firmly believe this microscope will see me through until retirement.

I am really glad that I decided to purchase this microscope. I was worried that for the price the quality just would not be up to par with what I need in my biology lab. Boy was I wrong!! This microscope works like a charm, the images are clear and crisp, the stage moves smoothly, and as a whole the structure of it is sturdy and durable. I definitely think this will last me for years and years to come. I have already recommended this microscope to others in my faculty.
