Westcott Heavy Duty School/Classroom Pro Electric Pencil Sharpener, Blue

I've had THREE heavy duty sharpeners and this one is THE best!I had to replace my last sharpener, which I had for a couple years (X-Acto Heavy Duty 6-Hole School Pro, which was good) because I absentmindedly put the eraser end in and there was no saving it. I decided on a different one, so chose the AFMAT 6-Hole Heavy Duty Classroom model. It's great except, as one reviewer had said--no matter how you positioned the pencil, it sharpened unevenly, leaving wood on one side :( I returned it and decided to try this one. I was attracted to it's upright design figuring it might sharpen better. I don't know if that's the reason, but it does!My suggestion, to not waste pencil is, sharpen to the "auto stop" the first time, but to keep getting this beautifully sharp point (shown in pic), just give it a quick "hit" each time thereafter. I'm VEEEERY satisfied with this sharpener :D

I wanted a sharpener that sharpened well and did not leave a mess when emptied.This one is so good. It has a large receptacle for shavings and it can be emptied without any spilling.I now have a good sharpener back in my office. The last one had to be used in the garage because itcouldn’t be emptied without leaving a mess.

This is a wonderful sharpener. It not only sharpens nearly every size of pencil on the market today but, is easy to use. Using your own force upon the pencil when in the sharpener, determines the length of the point. If you wish a very sharp long point, just apply more pressure to the pencil. Be careful however, this sharpener, does a great job, maybe even greater than you expect. Additionally the sharpener provides for different sizes and types of pencils.

Just received but like performance thus far. Appreciate that it sharpens a variety of pencil sizes which many brands no longer include. A low profile is good plus the reservoir for shavings is large enough to bypass frequent emptying. Pleased I chose the Westcott brand. Previously purchased products have performed well.

I decided to get this pencil sharpener because I recognized the brand and it was half the price of other sharpeners. When it arrived I was happy to see that it is sturdy and durable. You can also choose the pencil setting you need. It did not arrive with instructions so there is a button at the top that seems to make it sharpener faster? I'll have to Google it. Overall I am happy!

Because of the size and weight my very old hands find it awkward to move. Beyond that, it does the job so I am happy enough.

My grandson who is in 5th grade has lots of homework and use pencils daily. I had purchased two cheaper sharpeners but they didn't stand up to the daily use. After looking at numerous replacement pencil sharpeners I decided on this one. I am very pleased with it. It's heavy duty and offers the ability to sharpen multiple size pencils. Thanks to my grandson, every pencil in our house has been sharpened! 🙂

Heavy duty, and seems well made. However, does not sharpen pencils evenly. One side of the pencil lead is well exposed. The other side is only slightly exposed with the pencil wood running down near the end of the pencil lead. I tried applying pencil at different angles and with different pressures, but that seems to have little effect. I even tried twirling the pencil as it is sharpened, but that didn't help much either.
