Perfect to add Sirius/XM to a head unit
I used this with a new install of a Kenwood head unit in a Jeep Wrangler JK. I used this along with a Maestro SAT-1 connector to add Sirius/XM to my new stereo and attach it to my factory Satellite antennae. It worked perfectly and was extremely easy to install.Honestly, I rarely use satellite radio anymore. I have CarPlay and generally stream everything, but when I am away from cell coverage or in the mountains, it is handy to have. This product makes adding it to your new stereo quite easy to do. Don't hesitate to buy this and don't forget the Maestro SAT-1 cable if you just want to keep your existing antennae.***********************************************************************************************************************************************I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business. Edited - Eating Crow - SiriusXM will Honor Warranty If Purchased From Amazon if You Badger Them
UPDATE: After SiriusXM had - via Twitter - had again informed me that they would not honor the warranty, the Twitter rep suggest I call Listener Care. I did. After escalating the issue I was told that SiriusXM would have honored their warranty, but my radio was out of warranty. I said "I bought it in March 2022. It's June. I don't care about the $40. I care that SiriusXM doesn't honor their warranties. The warranty is 13 months & it's been 4 months." Well, now I'm being sent a replacement radio. We will see.Installation with my JVC 250BT using the PAC RP5-GM11 wiring harness I purchased with it on Amazon. All good until last week when the radio lost SiriusXM service & showed "check antenna" on every SiriusXM channel. So I went to SiriusXM chat and they tried refreshing the radio. No change.I physically checked the radio and tried using the SiriusXM magnetic antenna. No signal. But then I reconnected the vehicle's OEM SiriusXM antenna and it I wiggled it I got bursts of signal. So the antenna connection is bad inside the radio unit.Today I called SiriusXM "advanced customer care" and was told "sorry, you didn't buy that directly from us, so no warranty." Huh. And there's a SiriusXM store on Amazon. It's not a grey market, fell of a truck, fulfilled by Amazon Chinese fake. It's a SiriusXM product, sold through Amazon. No warranty. Yes, SiriusXM only honors their warranty if you buy a product directly from them.

Works like a satellite radio should work
I've had 2 or 3 portable car kits but kept misplacing the portable radio. Once I replaced my stock car stereo with a Pioneer head unit, this new unit plugged in very easy. I had an extra antenna from my previous car kits so I used that.Reason for 3 stars on sound quality is because satellite radio is compressed. You can tell the difference between satellite radio and FM quality.People are probably wondering about getting satellite radio at all. Well, in the time of covid, road trips seem to take the place of flying. You'll always have connectivity to satellite radio. You won't always have connectivity to cell coverage.

I Wasn't Told I Would Need A External Tuner When I Bought My New System!
Although I was able to access SIRIUS XM via my phone with my new Alpine 650W system the link was grayed out on my touch screen. The audio store where I bought my system quoted me $100 for tuner and installation. But they were out so I look here on Amazon. Here are my thoughts: Sound quality varies from station to station. Christian station ch.63 and some talk show stations much crisper than dance music stations ie BPM, Diplo, Chill, Studio 54 etc. Professionally installed so no issue there. Touch screen gets complicated resulting in too many steps while driving. But the Alpine system plays a part in that too. Otherwise, I love SIRIUS and glad I have it.

Added xm to my boat!
I added a new head unit to my Rinker boat and needed a new xm transmitter, as my stock radio was clarion and the xm module only worked with clarion, it hooked right up and works great!
