nicely packaged and like the extras that come with this thermometer. Price is pretty good for what you get IMO, i do like the looks and the touch screen function and really LOVE being able to turn off the alert beeping sound/noise just by touching screen S/S square! The 3yrs plus old thermometer i had, nor the taylor thermometer i bought recently to replace it (crappy built brand!), had that option so this was a nice bonus to me.now i do like this here thermometer a lot better than the others but, unfortunately this one is not accurate! one probe reads boiling water at 214 & the other jumps between 214-215, boiling water should read at 212 max so these probes (or at least ones i got) are off by 2-3 degrees. Since i really like the unit and the nice long metal probes, i think it's still worth keeping and dealing with having to remember to add or minus 2 when i use it..also the small magnets are not strong enough to keep unit in place, it slides down fridge/etc BUT, this is a common occurence with most of these types of thermometers so no big deal, i just put a flat strip magnet under it and it keeps it from sliding down.

Great customer service!. I'm not sure if it was something I did or an issue with the probe but 1 of the 2 probes that came with the thermometer was not functioning properly. They sent me 2 replacements with no questions asked as well as a list of things to prevent the issue in the future. I've had the thermometer for a few months now and use it at least twice a week and all 3 of my probes are functioning properly. The buttons on the back are well made and the touch screen to toggle through the different meat types is responsive. Back light on the display stays on for nearly 10 seconds if you like to cook outside at night. Runs on AAA batteries instead of button batteries which is nice. Only knock that I can find is that the 2 magnets on the back on not strong enough to hold the unit on the side of my refrigerator. I store mine in a drawer so no big whoop.

My unit became very inaccurate all of a sudden (reading 117 F when the temperature was 67). Taking out the batteries and putting them back in a day later seemed to fix the problem. Fortunately, in the meantime, I had another thermometer (different company) that used the very same probes, so I was still able to get some use out the probes. Since the reset, the thermometer itself seems to be functioning normally again.

Had been using a digital for years and one day forgot to take it out before putting in the oven. Melted. Nice long cord (with extra cable when needed) allows to monitor temperature without opening oven GREAT for roasting birds. Highly recommend

The reading stays outside of the oven so you don't have to open the door to check anything (losing heat)... It's been very handy and easy to clean, too. It came with 2 probes, which is nice.

This does the job fine, but it doesn't allow you to choose your own temperature for the alarm. Personally, I think beef roast at 140 is well beyond medium rare. I like that it does include recommended cooking temps for a variety of meats

Product was missing battery compartment cover, seller responded quickly with needed part. So very good customer relations so far. Used a few times for heating milk to make yogurt. Set alarm when milk got to 185 degrees. That was my original purpose for buying this thermometer, haven't tried it for other purposes yet. Function button labels are a little confusing, included brochure helps.

Used this thermometer to bake a turkey in the oven and it came out perfectly! Very easy to use and came with a convenient storage pouch to fit all the components of the thermometer. I would recommend using this meat thermometer!
