The pain on this is lead based - made in china! My son loves to chew on the hammer, had elevated lead levels at his check up. Tested the paint on this hammer and sure enough. I am so appalled I thought Melissa and Doug was a good brand.

I want to give 5* , my kid love the toy from the first second we open it. But I'm not happy with the paint quality on the nails. As you see in my pictures, if came new and after 1hr of play paint just came off, and my kid didn't smash all of the like crazy. Unfortunately I'm not happy about the quality for the money I paid.

Disappointed with this. Bought as I read it was well made. Unfortunately it’s soft wood so a couple days use the wood is all dented and the paint work is chipping off. Also the actual pegs are not connected to the piece at the bottom so they sometimes move diagonally which is annoying. My little one loves the toy. Not worth the £14.99 price tag.

Bought as a gift for youngest grandson so is still in packaging! Looks good quality and value for money! Looks sturdy and durable, is colourful and appealing for younger children! A++++

My little one loves this... though the hammer could potentially be used to wreak some damage, it’s a good tool to handle.
