Bucilla18-Inch Christmas Stocking Felt Applique Kit, Forest Friends, Red, White, Green, Yellow, Blue

I have made close to 20 of these kits over the years and I absolutely love them. As the family grows, we keep adding to our collection and the wall is filling up fast. Beautiful kits.My only frustration in the recent past: i seem to run short on thread. (But not on all colors, just “some”) Not a big deal to supplement on my own, but it doesn’t seem like it would be a big deal for them to add a few extra strands of each color. If you have your own sewing stash, it should not be a problem.

I will always buy Brucilla stocking kits ! I have made many stockings for my grandchildren and friends, they are the cutest, easy to follow instructions and my family loves them !! once in a while the thread is very thin especially the white thread, and it breaks easy, or the small needle the eye is so small you can't thread them but since I have made so many i always have back up !! they are the best !!

Overall I like the stocking, it is very frustrating that they don't send enough supplies to do what the instructions specify, though.I ran out of sequins, barely enough thread - but having run out of sequins, in my opinion, is very irritating as I now have to try to match the 2/3 that are already on it - and source them through online or local vendors and just hope they're close enough.So, 5-star product in the end (once I can finish it) but given 2-stars for shorting the supplies by a substantial amount.---UPDATE 12/15/16---I was able to source some identical sequins (didn't have to contact the seller) - Updated stars to 4-star as I feel these sequins were surprisingly easy to source (Hobby Lobby) and since I was out anyway, it wasn't out of my way.Will post pics once I finish it!!

This stocking took me 3 weeks to complete, but it was fun and I'm ready to do another one! The kit included almost everything you need other than the fiber fill and organization stuff like a pin cushion, thread organizer, bead/sequin case (I actually used plastic zip-bags). I would also recommend getting some Teflon sheets (at least 2) so you can iron the felt without touching the iron directly to the synthetic (melty) material. It is VERY time consuming, so don't expect to knock this out in a weekend unless you're the world's fastest hand embroiderer. Good Luck! I love Bucilla's Christmas stockings. I've made one for every member of our family and it's a wonderful tradition to break them out every Christmas.I ordered this one for my new son, and started working on it and then I noticed there was a horrible black line through the snowman's face (which is probably the most important and visible piece). I tried contacting Bucilla multiple times with pictures and no one got back to me.This hasn't been my experience in the past, and I'm sure in general this isn't normal. However, this has been a huge problem for me.

Like other Bucilla stocking kits, adorable design and kit had everything needed except the fill, for which you could get your own fiber fill or use bits of left over felt which is a fine alternative. This one worked up more quickly than others I have done, perhaps a few less pieces but just as detailed in design.

This is my first Bucilla project and it may have been a little ambitious. I love the finished project. The small animals are quite tedious, but the finished product is well worth the time.

Turned out darling! It is a lot of work and you must buy stuffing before you start the project. It is fun to work on about an hour a night for about a month -- no less!

I love the stocking kits. Over the years I have made many stockings, have enjoyed making them and have given them to friends and family who have been delighted with them. To complete a stocking all that is needed is patience to read and follow the instructions. For me working on a stocking kit is therapeutic and very relaxing.

Haven't started the kit yet but am on my third Bucilla kit at the moment and expect this to be equally excellent.

I was very disappointed with this purchase. The felt is very flimsy and not of good quality. For all the work to put into this stocking. I don't think it will last very long. I am actually planning on purchasing a better quality stocking and embellishing it with parts of this stocking. Not worth the price I paid for this kit.

Good quality items. Needs more detailed instructions, needs to include tracing paper, also did not include enough white sequins for the entire project, ended up using just beads for some. Eye of needle quite small, but is small enough to go through the beads.
