AfterBurn – Burn Treatment Cools Burns Fast with Lidocaine HCl & Aloe Vera

I decided to update my review based on using this product over the last year:IMPORTANT! Of course, medical disclaimer here: I am only sharing my lay experience and am not a licensed medical practitioner. If you burn your self and it blisters, is on a sensitive area of the body, or covers a large area (regardless of the degree of burn), consider seeking proper professional medical attention. Burns are serious business.My experience...I have found this gel to be terrific for dealing with mild to moderate burns. I work in a commercial kitchen and burns unfortunately come with the territory. I have used this gel personally on minor burns such as bumping a hot pot or surface. Also, I recently used it on a minor burn from grease that spilled out of a large, heavy roasting tray over my wrist. That burn fell under the minor category but a small section of it did blister some (2nd degree). After a cold water washing I used the gel as needed to keep the sting down and the burn hydrated. After a few days, with proper attention and some aloe its healing nicely and doesn't look like its going to scar.So my take on the gel is this...I have found the gel soothing. It moisturizes well and the 2.5% Lidocane content does a good job of dampening the sting and after pain of a burn. Used along with proper burn care it does a great job. I carry this in my work first-aid kit. I even gave away a tube on-the spot to a co-worker who burned her ankle. She reported good results in using it.

I had gotten a really bad sun burn. I'm talking lobster red and purple bad. This stuff took the pain away and after 2-3 applications during that day and 1 or 2 in the night the next morning my husband and I were amazed that I went from bright red and purple, to light pink and it didn't hurt that bad anymore. It also helped me from peeling really bad. It was working so well I tracked it down on amazon and bought couple tubes of it. Best burn product ever!!!!!

This works great! Takes the sting of a burn right away! Works good on sun burns too! I've got one in my home, car, boat & in the camper!

I gave it everything I had and couldn't get it open. And my husband, who's strong, couldn't open it either.

I’ve used Afterburn after being in the sun too long on a couple of occasions. It soothes the burn and makes you feel more comfortable. It’s definitely a staple in my beach/travel bag.

Got a pretty bad sunburn and this was a life savor. It helped me sleep through the night and even made it so I didn’t peel as bad. Not sure how well it would do on anything worse than a sunburn though.

Bought for my father in law who burned himself on his side with a rice heat pack he heated for too long in the microwave, 2nd degree burn! The area was so large none of the over the counter burn covers would work. He Refused to go to the Dr. & was treating himself with A & D ointment! After 3 weeks he was still in so much pain he could hardly move, just breathing hurt. Bought him this. After a few days his pain was much improved. He was grateful for the relief!
