Over a year and a half and I still will never go back to any other Gshock.
The media could not be loaded. I started out with the Mudmaster series. With the Ggb100. Great watch. However, not great if you like scuba diving and still wearing your watch. On top of that, the style of that watch just didn’t meet my personal taste after a while.Additionally, it has a battery, not solar. This watch however, is solar, has a depth gauge (could be a backup dive computer in a pinch), and overall in my opinion has great style. I have had it for over a year and a half now.I honestly believe you could wear this for the rest of your life, provided the solar didn’t burn out or anything like that. It is so comfortable and extremely durable (it’s a Gshock, come on).Other Gshocks do more daily jobs better, how often are you going to need a depth gauge?Basically never unless it’s your job to go underwater. But I’d claim this is a frogman, made for scuba diving enthusiasts.Where this watch differs, is it’s invaluable, I physically do not believe I could break this watch or kill it through time. It can’t be killed by a battery and it can’t be killed by pressure, and lastly, it can’t be killed by impacts. I do believe it is maybe about $50 overpriced, but I still believe it is great value for what you are getting.I’ll stop my yapping, but this is amazing watch that I will definitely buy again just to have one to keep nice and clean.(I live in Florida, scuba dive occasionally (with plans to make it a career), wear this watch daily, and work a maintenance job with it as well)

I highly recommend!
Great dive watch built like a tank, fits well and is smaller than my Mudmaster although a bit heavier. The seller was excellent and this is the second watch I purchased from them both came well packaged in perfectly and new unopened condition. Both pieces cam in 6 days or less.

Requires a Manly Frame
The watch does require a "man wrist." This implies that "dainty" wrists will experience an inevitable overlap of the watch band in absence of a diving suit. When I refer to a "man" wrist, I am speaking of a circumference of 8 inches in circumference or greater. This goes without saying that if you have small wrists, you should purchase a smaller G Shock, perhaps a Baby G. Fantastic watch, been wearing it for a year and love the look and feel. It has so many features it will blow your mind like a flux capacitor. It is retailed around $1050, but I got mine on Amazon for $648. You just have to hunt around for a good deal. Cheers!

Still an amazing G. With some much needed updates like sapphire ...
Still an amazing G. With some much needed updates like sapphire glass, led back light, carbon fiber strap, and clearer screen this will become one of your most cherished g shocks. The blue on this watch is amazing and no picture will do it justice. This thing is absolute warrior class. Only thing to look out for is that the band/strap on these new frogmen are very long and will stick out more. So if you have the money don't wait.

Fast fast fast everything was packaged awesome Definitely recommend the shop
I was surprised that the watch Wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. It is heavy but feels like a tank like it. Indestructible and I don’t get the fin like a lot of people. But wow what a watch. One of my toughest watch I got so far!!!!!!

The GOAT of all G Shocks
Absolutely worth every penny. I have been a G Shock collector for 25 years, and ever since the first Frogman dropped, I have wanted one. I know for many people, the thought of dropping more than $100 on a G Shock is crazy, but this watch is different. There is a reason this model is at the price point it is at, and I would pull the trigger again 100 times out of 100. Crazy fast shipping too, excellent seller!!

WRONG MODEL
Watch out it's not GWF-D1000B-1JF (Japan) as advertised! What you'll get is GWF-D1000B-1CR model (US). You can easily buy it way cheaper.

Best Digital Dive Watch
This Master of G Frogman watch is simply the toughest, best built, most functional digital dive watch available, in my opinion. The design and materials used are of very high quality and I think it is truly a great dive tool that could be an excellent backup to a dive computer. In fact a backup dive watch that has a depth meter, an ascent rate alarm, temperature measurement and dive mode that includes dive time, surface time and maximum depth, minimum temperature provides the best information to help you record all the important data for your dive as a backup to a computer. I really like the DLC coated stainless steel, which adds very good corrosion resistance beyond what just regular stainless steel provides. The tide graph and moon phases/calendar is also useful for coastal diving and other diving where the tide can affect the diving conditions. The strap that includes the carbon fiber insert and how the strap is attached to the steel lugs on the case is absolutely the toughest and most well built I've ever seen on a watch. The digital display is also a higher quality where the LCD is very solid at most angles and the light blue shaded areas look great. The high polished blue metallic tinted frame around the tide graph/day field also adds a really nice accent to the overall display giving it a higher end look. And I like that you are able to get the watch made from the Casio factory in Japan where they make other high end G-shock watches. One slight negative I have is that I had to return the watch multiple times because of some aesthetic defects under the sapphire crystal. Before I explain I should provide some context that when it comes to watches, I'm very particular about how they look and tend to really scrutinize them for any aesthetic defects (scratches or blemishes on any of the watch surfaces, dirt or debri under the crystal or on the dial, etc.) The defects on this watch included a small reflective spot around the outer edge of the solar panel underneath the crystal and some small blemishes or debri/particles underneath the crystal on the solar panel. Some of these defects were only visible under a bright light or in daylight or sun. While some were visible in most ambient lighting conditions. While these did not affect the functionality of the watch, at this price and for this quality of a design and materials, I wouldn't expect there to be defects like these in the watch. My guess is that some of them may be due to how the AR coating is applied underneath on the crystal where there may some small spots that occur sometimes where the coating is not quite smooth. But I'm only speculating. In regards to how the watch fits, it is definitely up there in size as far as G-shocks go and I think one of the heaviest due to the stainless steel case. The case is 53 mm in diameter and 59 mm lug to lug. But I like the bigger G-shock watches so it's a matter of preference. When it comes to making a proper dive watch though I think they did a good job making it the proper dimensions and design for visibility, functionality and durability. The traditional frogman asymmetric case design is also cool and actually functional as the case sits shifted left off-center relative to the strap to keep it from rubbing against the hand at the end of the wrist. And I think they did a really good job sizing the strap just right based on it being a fixed length to fit with and without a wet/dry suit. I have a slightly smaller than average wrist size (~7 inches) and the strap isn't too long without a wet/dry suit but does stick up a little higher compared to a typical strap length. And it fits great over a 5mm wet suit. If you have a smaller wrist, say less than 6.75, inches the strap may get too long and the watch not fit as well overall without a wet suit.If you're looking for a very functional and very tough and durable backup dive watch then I highly recommend this frogman watch. If you're looking for a high end, very well made and functional G-shock watch then I also recommend this frogman watch. I've owned several G-shocks and in my opinion this frogman watch is Casio's best all digital Flagship watch. And I am not really a fan at all of the newer analog frogman watches. While I think they look nice I already have an analog dive watch and I would like to see Casio not abandon the all digital professional watches and would be very interested in an update/upgrade to this all digital frogman. I was very disappointed with the newer frogmans in that they got rid of the depth meter, the temperature sensor, compass and ascent rate alarm. These are all certainly important functions to have on a dive computer and I think having these features on a backup dive watch like the frogman is really desirable and makes for a highly functional tool watch along with all the other typical features you get with G-shock watches.I struggled with the final overall rating because based on the design for a dive watch, the materials used, the toughness and durability and importantly the functionality this watch is 5 stars EASY. However, there seems to be some minor QC issues with some aesthetic defects that occur, that while do not affect the functionality, can detract from the overall perceived quality for a watch like this and at this price point. Especially if those defects are easily noticeable. So I'm going with 4 stars in hopes that Casio may see this and maybe with other reviews or feedback they've received look into resolving this so that it doesn't occur or at least occurs at a much lower frequency.
