JCB 250 x 300mm Square Mouth Site Shovel, Heavy Duty Steel Blade

This is the third shovel that I have brought. The other 2 broke easily when trying to remove a tree stump. The JCB Shovel went through the roots like a hot knife through butter. It doesn't even flex let alone bend and its not particularly heavy either. Very highy recommended. I brought it based on other reviews on here and I am not disappointed. Well worth the price too.

...He would look like this. This is a spade and a half. I broke my last wooden handled spade, but this bad boy laughs at everything in its path. Yes, it's weighty, but if you're digging holes, you need some muscle about you anyway. Me man, me dig holes, grrr.

This shovel is a little weighty but it pivots rocks out of the ground like a mini digger. Worth the money!

I bought this because my stony clay soil is very tricky to dig with wider blade shovels, border spades aren’t designed to cope in such conditions. This is a professional grade shovel and isn’t a lightweight! That’s precisely why I bought it. This is a case of you get what you pay for, it costs more and is worth its weight in gold from my pov. I can dig out holes with this shovel with so much ease in comparison to my wider bladed shovels. I used to have to fork over any ground before it was loose enough to then be dug out. This shovel can do a lot of the digging without the need for pre forking. It cannot cope with highly compacted dry soil but you need to wet it before you put it in. Buy and enjoy!

This product might be a little more expensive than similar brands but really worth spending a bit more on. Very robust and worth every penny. This will likely last a lifetime.

It digs, it fills a barrow, it mixes things.It's light, ergonomic and you can lean on it like the best council worker - just kidding.Worth the money rot proof handle.It could become a family heirloom.

Great garden shovel. Lives up to the name of being sturdy and practically in breakable.Husband has used it to renovate garden and that includes digging up huge deep rooted hedges and and removing a full lawn. Shovel still solid and good as new. Heavy but that’s what you want. 100% recommended.

Rarely am I surprised and I review even less but on this occasion this product deserves recognition.I purchased this JCB Spade based on brand name and product description.This spade has exceeded my expectations by a country mile it is built to last beyond a lifetime.It embodies the true spirit of JCB in both look and build quality.It is like having your own JCB in your shed ready for any digging job you can throw at it.I particular the drop forged finish and the foot press is fantastic.If you are looking for a spade look no further.
