St.Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse, Original Fake Tan, Streak-Free Finish, Develops in 4-8 hours, Vegan, Natural & Cruelty Free, 4 Fl Oz

I like many have tried a lot of self-tanners over the years. This one has been the best so far. I decided on this size just in case it didn't work out. The larger size was almost twice the price. I tried it on my legs. I showered, exfoliated (do not skip this step) and shaved. I then put on an emollient and thick cream (I used Eucerine Advanced). As all the other reviews say, pay close attention to the dryer spots/joints; heels, ankle bones, toes, knees, elbows, etc. I let that soak in for about 30-40 minutes. I made sure it wasn't "sticky" any longer. I shook the self-tanner well and put it on in circular motions using a mitt. I did one full pump, then put it on...then repeated in the next section. You can see a difference as soon as you put it on. You have to work somewhat fast or it streaks a little. Have a damp cloth to wipe those away. Do not use in a room where a fan is running. I had my ceiling fan on at first. I realized it was starting to dry too fast as I was putting it on. It was pretty much odorless which is a huge plus. After about 4 hours, I noticed a big difference. By around 8-9 hours, I had a golden tan that didn't look fake. I took a shower before bed (I know the directions say to not do this but I live in FL and it was a very hot day. It had been about 12 hours since I had first put it on). Some did rub off on my sheets and towel but it did wash out. Some washed off in the shower but it wasn't a huge difference, at least on me. I have very fair legs so the slightest tan would be noticeable! I'm 48 and am starting to have dryer skin on my legs. Self-tanners I have recently used end up splotchy after a day or so. It has now been 24 hours plus and I am not seeing any spots/splotches. I have a few freckles on my legs and they look darker. So beware of that if you have a lot of freckles or scars. After I showered, I added a little more cream to keep my legs supple. It didn't affect the tan at all. It looks great! I recommend for sure!

Great product. I have fair skin and this gives me a completely natural looking tan that lasts for days. I just got back from a 4 day vacation and the application done the night before I left lasted well (I did not swim). If you have darker skin or want to look really tan this may be too light for you, I think St. Tropez has a darker version. The application is so easy; it is a tinted mousse so it is very, very light weight going one, and the tint allows you to see where you've applied so you don't miss spots. I want to say it is odorless; it may have a slight fragrance but it must be minimal, I'm sensitive. I'm not particularly careful when I apply, this doesn't seem to stick to dryer parts of skin like ankles and knees. I did try a drugstore gel product and found the color to be too golden and got blotchy in areas. St. Tropez is expensive but worth it; I always come back to it.

Needs to be shaken very well to become a foam

I have used the lotion type of this brand for many years and love it but thought I would try this and love this even more. I bought the reg size elsewhere but needed a travel size for when I go away. This works awesome, the tint while it helps to mainly tint your skin after leaving on several to 8 hours…I leave on till the next day..,.makes it easier to tell how you have applied it and if you see streaking after an hour you can simply touch up that area by a light wash to blend it in. If you take your time and use the mitt that comes with the bigger size, I have gotten little to no streak areas and it’s a nice brown shade. I suspect if you put too much on at once you might get not as nice a color tho I don’t think the old orange color at least. I start with two pumps for each arm and 3 for each leg but xperiment. I am older and just find that cellulite looks better with a tan so that’s why I use it! Some things to mention, it doesn’t tell you to shake it till you hear no sound, it will be more liquidy if not I found and very messy as it drips out of the top and gets all over when you shake it after each use….it’s really not a firm mousse anyway I’d call it more of a liquidy foam. So I hold it over the sink to shake after each use, first time it dripped all over the floor! I also didn’t read well enough realize you’re sposed to wash it off after the required hours and even tho it didn’t get on anything, I noticed it on the sink when I’d rest wet arm on so I rerread the instructions! The lotion one did not require that so I was careless. I do also exfoliate before each use. I’d guess if you want it darker you could wash off after 8 hours and put another application on, let it sit then wash that off. It’s a great clean product too!

This product is great. I wear a plastic glove to apply it and rub it in continuously until there’s nothing left to rub in. It gives the perfect shade of tan with no streaks.

So, I am skeptical about self tanning products. I refuse to get a spray tan because I am terrified of looking orange. I bought this tanner about 2 weeks before my wedding as a last minute purchase after reading great reviews. As soon as it came in, I tried it out and loved it. Make sure to exfoliate well before and say no-no to lotions and moisturizers before you use this product. Also shave everywhere you prefer no hair! I am a pale girlie so when I saw this dark mousse come out on my mitt I panicked inside. But, after wearing it for 5-6 hours I was glowing and TAN ! & I was not orange:). I looked like I just got back from a 2 week cruise and sun bathed everyday 🏝️. Also it doesn’t stink like some self tanners! BUY IT !
