Size M fits perfect.
I love this item. Solid stitching, quality neoprene and velcro. Was worried about sizing and went with medium. It looks and fits great. Covers almost the whole bar. The velcro runs across the entire length so it should not come off while riding.

Good product
I bought this since my bike has a lot of chain slap. It came with paint protection film, but that does nothing to help with the noise. After a lot of looking at all the different options available for chain stay protection, I decided to go with Lizard Skins. People seemed to be happy with it and I didn’t want a stick-on piece. I ordered the medium and it fit perfectly on my size small Cannondale Trail bike frame, which has an external wire that runs on the bottom of the chain stay and it wrapped around that with no issues. The quality is good and it is simple to put on. It has helped reduce chain slap noise tremendously but not fully. Overall, I am happy with it, and although I cannot speak of the longevity, up to now, it is still holding up.

Definitely made a difference
My bike (Trek Fuel EX 8) already has a rubber strip on the chainstay to (attempt to) prevent chain slap. It does work but you can still hear the chain slapping the thin rubber strip. After owning the bike for 5 years I was looking to quiet it down further and heard about Lizard Skins and figured I would give it a try. It has definitely made it quieter as the chain slapping against the neoprene is definitely quieter than it slapping against the rubber strip. In my photo you can definitely tell how much the chain slaps against the skin from the dirt where the chain contacts the Lizard Skin. The clutch on my derailleur is not the issue as I'm using a SRAM X01 Eagle AXS derailleur. Anyway, I'm glad I bought it and it seems to be holding up pretty well. Cleans easily when I wash my bike. I haven't taken it off yet in the two months that I've owned it and it has stayed put and not moved at all.

Great protector, but do measure your drive-side chain stay circumference before ordering.
Medium was a good fit for my 2021 Norco Torrent that has an external derailleur cable housing running along its bottom. The bike did come with an optional self-adhesive foam pad that would work fine protecting the frame, but I bet it would be scratched and look bad if the chain was indeed dropped, or if a branch was to be caught between it and the chain, etc.The Lizard Skin frame protector is really durable and will look pretty much like new even after harse contact with rocks. The chain is actually pretty smooth and easy to handle by comparison.I see many people being frustrated with fitment: It is bike specific but in reality "chain-stay" specific. Just measure the circumference of your drive-side chainstay (don't assume it is always symmetrical, and do take account of shifter cables running along. There is flexibility in the material to allow for small tapering and positioning, but the tighter the fit, the better and more secure it will be.If you don't have a flexible tape, use a strip of paper to wrap around your drive side chainstay, make a mark and measure this instead.

Check bike frame chainstay circumference before purchasing
It is important to measure the circumference of the chainstay on the bike this will be installed on to ensure the right size is ordered. My measurements were 60mm circumference at the least at the back end of my chainstay and 80mm at the most at the front end of my chainstay. According to the product website page, these are the approximate measurements to consider for sizing: "Circumference 70-100 mm (small), 100-125 mm (medium) or 125-140 mm (large)". I decided to order a size larger than I need (medium) and it ended up fitting perfectly on my 2013 Trek Marlin 29er. The material of the protector is neoprene and stretchy so it can accommodate varying frame sizes as well as the change in circumference found as you move along the chainstay of most bikes. The velcro surfaces on the protector are also large enough to allow for users to adjust to a tight fit even if the protector is slightly too large as it was in my case. I will update the review if the durability becomes an issue but so far installation was simple and the fact that it is removable makes it easy to clean.

Works, fits, and looks great!
I got a small one of these for another one of my bikes and I love it! So I also got this medium-sized one for my Salsa Rangefinder and it has been amazing!! Before I learned that my rear derailleur had a clutch on it (oops), this thing seriously saved me from so many chain + chain stay collisions!! I still use it even now because, well, it's on my mountain bike and I do mountain bike things on it.My only gripe is that the velcro which holds it together gets a bit wavy/rippled. Not really a big deal, but if you are "particular" like me, just knowing that it's there triggers my OCD lol.I highly recommend this to all of my friends, and I even plan on buying a 3rd one for my new full-squish MTB when it arrives!

Love this chainstay protector. Install it, and forget about it. Cleans up easy on the bike
Very nice protector for chain lash. Works great on my Trek Farley fat bike. Perfect color, and doesn't seem to fade.

Ottimo!
Materiale fantastico che aderisce e si sagoma perfettamente al traverso anche se dovessero passarci delle guaine, è giusto un po' difficile da pulire

Great value
I wanted a chain stay protector for a Brompton, and there are a lot of them to choose from. This was cheaper than a lot of the stick-on carbon fibre or titanium ones, so it's with a try. When I got it I realised it was a lot longer than I needed, so I just cut a section off it and used that. It works perfectly, can be taken off and washed if it gets grubby, and I have the rest of it to use when the first bit wears out.
