I have more than a full collection of Christmas piano books for my students. I have one young student who is currently in the Alfred B lesson book. It sticks mostly to the C position and does not introduce the Middle C position. I purchased this book specifically for her to have songs in her usual position. Turns out this book is completely in the Middle C position. I'll probably keep it because it has teacher duets, but I'd still recommend the Bastien Christmas books over this series. The layout is cleaner and the pictures are more enticing.

Student should be using the B series before they start the Christmas book. It has different fingering and is difficult if the student has not started B. Both thumbs r on the middle C so the student must learn a, b , c on bass staff . All songs r traditional Christmas songs - no jingle bells

Perfect Christmas book for my 3rd grade daughter who has played piano for a year and a half!

This is an excellent beginner Christmas book that I use with my beginning piano students. It has a combination of no-line music and lined music. A couple songs are written for black keys and some are written for white keys. This book allows even my youngest students to play Christmas music!
