I was using a wrist-based blood pressure monitor. My doctor recommended a cuff-type monitor for better accuracy. I chose this one because Omron has a great reputation and I don't need the features of their more expensive products. This one reads a little higher than the wrist monitor, but the readings are pretty consistent from day to day. Very easy to use. My only complaint is the on/off button is very sensitive so I have to be careful not to accidentally touching it when putting this device away. There is no protective carrying case.

I had a health and wellness day at work where my blood pressure was through the roof and decided that I needed to monitor it myself to find any patterns, etc. After some research I decided to purchase this Omron 3 series monitor. I wasn't looking for some fancy monitor with a lot of bells and whistles, and I wanted it to be relatively inexpensive. This arm monitor has proved to be both of those!It was very easy to figure out and set up. It just requires 4 AA batteries to operate and you are good to go. I love that with the batteries you can test your BP wherever you are, sitting at the table or sitting on the couch it couldn't be any easier.What I really like about this monitor is how simple it is. It has a big blue button to start. Once you have it on your arm you press the button and it will take your blood pressure and display it on the screen, very simple and straight forward, which is exactly what I was wanting. I then input the results into my health app on my iPhone and I can record and compare with past results to determine trends and warnings.I am very happy with my choice and would recommend this option to anybody looking for a simple monitor from a reputable company.

This Omron 3 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure monitor is a real impressive tool. Easy to use right out of the box (after the addition of 4 AA batteries, of course) it doesn't take a rocket scientist to either operate or read the results. Less than a minute to gain both your blood pressure and heart beat readings my wife and I have found it both interesting and informative. Fortunately now in our seventies we don't suffer from high blood pressure. But my wife's aneurysm in the brain and stroke eleven years ago that resulted during the corrective surgery at the Mayo Clinic has left us a bit gun shy. So when a rather high cholesterol reading was registered lately, we decided we needed to become a bit more aware of not only the diet, but our blood pressure as well on a daily basis. After much research we picked this little gem and so far as said above, very impressed. And this morning's readings of 121/81 for her, and 115/75 for me wasn't shabby either.

simple to use. Press only one button but very inaccurate. i got this one because i was tire of using a stethoscope and a sphygmomanometer. But the reading are at least 10 mm a part. I felt my pressure high several time and when i take my pressure with this it say 125/90 or any other number that are within normal. i cant remember exactly. but when i take with the sphygmomanometer it is 140/100 or other ..etc...There is a big difference between the values. Would not recommend.05/22/2018 New UpdateI am writing this new update because i finally find out what affect the inaccurate of this bp machine. It's the battery. You need to make sure that the battery doesn't run low otherwise the number will not be accurate. I changed my battery as soon i got the low battery sign( i didn't wait the battery to completely die before changing).. I found out my machine works better. Thanks God.So i am changing my 2 stars to 5.

Never used one of these things before but it works really well. Simple and easy to use for sure. The cuff is plenty big for me. I'm 5'11 and 270 pounds, fits my big outta shape arm with plenty of room to spare. I try to use it twice a day. Just follow directions. I try to sit still and relax for at least 5 minutes before I do a reading. Then another one at least 5 minutes later and it always comes down some just like at my doctors. I haven't compared it with my doctors yet but I know its right in the ballpark,getting similar results as last doc visit. The price is right too. Ten bucks more at walmart and target. At the store at least.

tried a couple other ones first, but all were complicated, crappy and non-intuitive: except THIS one! It is great, easy to use, easy to set up/put away, and very reasonably priced. I love it!
