FibroPool Swimming Pool Check Valve - 1 1/2 Inch - Positive Seal & Non Lube Replacement Valve for Pools and Spas

Put this on between the output of a Hayward filter and a Hayward chlorinator. Automatically stops pool water back flow from the chlorinator to the filter when the filter is off eliminating the chances of chlorine gas building up in the filter. Easy to install 1.5 inch pvc pipe into it, no leaks so far after 1 month.

Switching to using salt instead of chlorine. Had to redo all PVC. Added 3 of these valves. Had some issues with leakage. Contacted company and they were there with me until the issue was resolved. Great customer service.

I used this check valve between chorinator and heater. Works perfectly.

Installed for spa back flow- valve fluttered some and still leaked. Company sent out a replacement- adjusted spring a bit and now works great. Great customer service!

Fit 1 1/2 PVC perfectly. Does seem to allow a tiny bit of backflow when the pump is off, but I believe that is by design. I recall it needs some pressure (very little) to seal the valve.

Pool store wanted $100 for the exact same item. This item keeps me from having to prime my pool pump that is 10 feet higher than the pool waterline

This Fibro pool check valve doesn’t prevent the water from leaking thru the seal in the opposite direction. I tried it vertically and in the horizontal position, it leaks both ways.I’m glad I tried it out before I glued the PVC pipes to it.I’m returning it and going to try a Jandy check valve.
