My just turned 11 year old (August 1st) wanted a couple of these for her birthday, and so I bought two in size small (she is 57 inches tall) and it fits great. SLIGHTLY cropped at the bottom, but reaches the top of the pant line for now. When she develops she will need to layer it with something underneath, as I don't allow that, but we bought these to not be cropped and the small does its job short-term, and long term a tank underneath will suffice. I hope her stats will help someone out in choosing a size. She has a thin build also. Any bigger, go higher, unless you want it really cropped. Oh, and it washes well, holds up well, and is a nice, soft material. Not stiff in the least. WIN/WIN!!

I normally wear a medium. But I wanted a tighter fit. So I got a small. Fits nicely.
