Easy to put on my waist-band and belt. Holds the weapon securely even with red-dot sight. I have no worries about the weapon unintentionally coming out of the holster. Will be buying another one shortly so I'll be able to use it with a chest-rig.The holster is NOT an ideal CCW setup, but OTOH, that wasn't the goal for me. I wanted a robust holster with a secure latch that I could beat on and it would take it with no issues. This does the job nicely.

My favorite open carry holster...love the locking mechanism on it and its easy to adjust the angle you wear it..

I've never liked having to run or jump while wearing a full-sized pistol.With the added security of the SERPA level 2, it's not a problem.Once the pistol is 'clicked' into place, it's going to stay there, until it's needed.I was using the Bladetech holster supplied by S&W, but it had zero retention. Didn't like it.I hope that I never have the need to wear a pistol again.But, in case the need arises, I'm practicing with the SERPA.The only drawback I can see with the SERPA, is the practice.You must practice, especially, if you are used to an open holster (zero retention).Practice safely. If you are very skilled and live-fire practice fast draw with different weapons using a SERPA, be aware of the risk.Forgetting which pistol you're using can be very dangerous. Watch the Youtube video "Original Upload, I Just Shot Myself".It shows why trigger finger placement (during weapon deployment) is so important.

However, I kinda suspected that going in. I love Serpa holsters. I have two already. This purchase was my third. I recently got a S&W added to the family, unfortunately the caliber I have makes this holster unusable. The slide is much too wide to fit adequately in this little guy. However, I have another member of my family that probably could fit this so its not a total loss. I wear this on a drop leg platform (also by Serpa and the most comfortable thing I've ever worn in the world of drop leg platforms). Easily interchangable. Can even mod this to be worn on a chest rig (which there is controversy/preference battles about) but to each their own. LOVE Serpa!

I would definitely recommend buying this product if you have a canik, the s&w mp9 fits all canik models. Holster fits tights, draw is perfect and it’s cut for optics. Definitely worth the price and I am picky

Fits my weapon great (m&p9). Shipping was super fast via USPS. Got it 4 days earlier than Amazon anticipated. It claims the release cannot be operated if the gun is being pulled on but with enough force I could still release it. Great holster, can have 5 angles to draw from.
