Best hand saw blades
I bought my first Vaughan Bear Saw over 10 year ago and used it on red oak many, many times when I was doing some custom wood working. It cut the hard wood like butter, easily controlled, produced a nice edge and was the only saw that on the red oak and 1/2" red oak veneer plywood didn't get dull. However, after 10 years of use, the blade was dull and the big box stores in my area did not carry replacement blades. I bought 4 saws that were represented as being comparable and they were all terrible. The handle on this saw is very comfortable to use. This company produces a large variety of blades. Vaughn will be the only hand saw blades that I will use going forward.

It works great for making smooth, clean cuts
This blade makes cuts that are smooth and clean, even when cutting against the grain . I have been using it to cut 1 x 2's, 2 x 2's, 2 x 4's and 1/4 inch plywood. It is not designed for heavy-duty work such as cutting 4x4 posts and 2x8's. But, it will do the job in a pinch. Keep in mind that this blade cuts on the "pull" stroke only. I believe that a pull-stroke blade gives you a little more control when making intricut cuts that require precision. I have made quite a few cuts in redwood, Douglas fir, composite wood, pine, small tree limbs and even some PVC sprinkler pipes. The blade is still pretty sharp. Plus, there is no corrosion on the metal. I am now on my second blade and when needed, I will buy another without hesitation.

Good quality and price
This is a great fine tooth blade for detail work, cuts bamboo and wood with ease and is super easy to switch out with more agressive coarse tooth blades. Comes very sharp, I still have yet to see how long they last but for the price it's well worth it.

Three Stars
The original blade was much sharper. This replacement is not as sharp and it has me wondering.

Good saw for general cutting uses.
This is my go to saw for cutting hard and softwood. The pull cut makes it buckle free and it is very sharp and cuts fast. The only reason I needed a replacement blade was not seeing the hardened screw in the block of wood I was cutting. That will do a number on any saw's teeth...

Great saws and price
Can't beat these saws for the price I have a course that's a few years old and been abused and used for unintended purposes ( drywall for one) and it still works, not as well of course. The medium I find works very well to just for more precise cutting, I would suggest that it actually works better as you use it as initially its teeth were maybe a little to sharp and pointy and I had some trouble getting a nice even pull at the start of cutting

nice and sharp
if only the blade did't cost nearly as much as the blade with a handle , as in complete saw, but everything is like that , otherwise a great product , has completely changed the way people think about hand saws, particularly for small pick up work and undercutting jambs , trimming odds and ends , you really can't go wrong

great tool overall
This blade is very durable but it will not handle well OSB type plywood. Other than that, very precise cuts, works in pull direction, great tool overall.
