I have these lights rotating on both sides of the stairs & I have them on motion detection. They work great! My boyfriend goes up & down the stairs in the middle of the night & he feels very reassured with these. He can see where he is stepping. I am using rechargeable as someone suggested.

I added there to my hallway and pantry. 3 of them died within 3 days of use when I had the setting on auto These were brand new batteries I put in them so I have no idea why they died so soon but was very disappointed I liked them for those 3 days. Batteries are to expensive to replace them that often.**Update the seller contacted me and agreed to give me a full refund saying the ones I got must have been defective and the product has a 12 month warranty. They were very nice and quick to resolve my issue.

Worked perfect. Used some magnetic tape on the back to attach to cruise ship walls.

Only use with rechargeable batteries. Batteries only last a couple days. Great brightness and sensor otherwise.

I am very impressed by this product. I used them inside a cabinet in order to not wake up my husband by turning on the bedroom light in the morning. It was easy to install and did not fall or destroy my furniture. The motion sensor works every time. It is not activated unnecessarily. The light brightness is perfect! I am able to find what I need without being blinded or rummaging around in a dim light. I have not had to replace the batteries yet. When I do so I will update this review. I highly recommend this product for closets and cabinets!

One of our bedrooms is awkward, in that at night, it's extremely dark and there is no switched overhead light.You need to walk across the room in complete darkness to find the bedside lamp.I got this to place right near the doorway, so it would come on and give enough light to allow for walking across the room safely.Initially, I thought the lights were defective. I put the batteries in and the light turned on. Great. I put it on auto and set it in place. It didn't work. No amount of motion would set it off. Maybe this one was defective. I tried another light. Same thing. Light came on when I put the batteries in, but no light triggered by any amount of motion. This was done at 5:15 in the evening . . . twilight when it was dark'ish, but you could still see around the room.I left it, came back and tried again at 7:30 when it was really dark. Worked perfectly.The warm light is just enough to give illumination to walk across the room safely, but is not glaring, harsh or uncomfortably bright.Bonus feature is that once you've walked across the room and turned the bedside lamp on, no need to return to the doorway to turn off a switch. The timer on this motion sensor light, turns itself off after a minute. If using this in a bathroom for bathroom visits during the night, the illumination is not harsh enough to hurt your eyes.Conclusion:- lights will not trigger unless the room is very dark, so don't worry that they're defective if they don't test out even in dimly lit locations- this is actually a plus, in that you won't be wearing the batteries down with unnecessary triggers- haven't been using this long enough to report on battery life- mounting options are adhesive strips or mounting screws. I just sat it upright on end. It sits nicely and functions perfectly fine this way.

Great little lighting units to place around the house and along the stairwells. Use the screws since they’re easier to remove and readjust as needed. I would consider getting more of I had a bigger place. Overall, very happy with the product: motion detection and light detection are functioning well. Battery life will depend on where these lights are installed.

Overall good except the very short battery life in just about few hours of motion sensing activation so I bought Pale Blue USB rechargeable batteries but have not tried them yet
