The clips are fine and they arrive as described. What's not so fine is the price. Home Depot carries better plastic clips and charges $0.98 for a 16-pack. That's right, 98 cents! Search HD's web site for "HDX Large Deco Wire Replacement Plastic Clips (16-Pack)" and you'll see for yourself. The "Large" plastic clips fit the 1 inch diameter bars while the "Small" clips fit a smaller diameter bar.

I purchased the correct diameter but these clips are completely useless because they will not stay affixed to the poles even after the shelves are on them - they pop off and go flying across the room while the shelves crash down. I tried several times and every time they snap off and literally fly across the room. I finally just threw them away as it's too late to return them. I think the main problem is the height of the clips, unlike the photos, they're actually really short. Too short for the length needed on the shelves to hold each other in place. The shelves have a length that the clips need to fit - pretty standard length/height. Obviously there's a symbiotic relationship between the clips and the space they fit within the shelves which is not Match in my case... the clips I received are only about 1 inch in height and need to be around 2 or 2.5 inches long with a 1 inch diameter or circumference... otherwise you'll end up becoming super irritated and pissed that your time, money, & energy was wasted on some useless, half baked trinket pushers Scam.

I made them work for me and even bought additional because I didn't order enough originally. They don't clip closed well and I actually had to use tape to secure them. Once the shelf was on them they were fine so they do work as intended but are a pain to initially use.

They worked. I used scotch tape to hold them in place before placing the racks on them; it worked great.
