Seemed good-- until it broke in the wind!
I purchased this a year ago for use at our cabin in Colorado. It often gets quite windy there, so I was inspired to purchase this based on its promise of wind-resistance. At first I was pleased. It seemed to hold up. The poles flex with the wind, and it did ok in some big gusts. Then I put it out for the winter, took it out the following summer... and it barely lasted three weeks. The "sleeve" that holds one of the poles in place ripped, and the pole itself broke at the point where it attaches to the main center post. So much for wind resistance!Also, its a bummer that it doesnt come with a tie to hold the umbrella closed when not in use. Seems like a silly oversight for a wind-resistant umbrella.My advice: if you want this just as an umbrella, go for it. But it you want a wind-resistant umbrella, keep looking...
