Best I have ever used
Best I have ever used. Stabilizer "bars" were not necessary for my applications (hard packed soil) but all well made . I do not like "universal" design for anything but height (length) adjustment feature would be helpful.

Fastest way to set up garden lights
I bought a few of these because I noticed some were already in the garden of the home I just purchased. Wasn't too sure how to use them. But disassembling an existing fixture quickly showed me how easy these things are to use. They have a spiked end which is easily driven into the ground using a light sledge hammer. You do this with the top cap removed. Just make sure the wires are brought up through the tube before pounding into the ground. You then attach the light fixture to the cap using a threaded fitting, connect the wires , put the cap onto the tube and fix it with a set screw. You only need the wings or flanges for more stability if you are setting the post in very loose soil, otherwise to can install without these.

Looks great, easy install.
The post was pretty easy to install. That said, screwing the grid fins to the post required a power drill instead of a screwdriver. I installed the in clay soil so using a block of wood and a sledge hammer made pretty easy work getting it to the correct height in the soil.
