Lippert Components Screen Defender RV Entry Door Aluminum Screen Protector

Before purchasing, I read other reviews, read the installation instructions and watched the Lippert install video on YouTube. I have a Lippert door. My door opening is 29 5/8” wide and Lippert states you must round that up to the next whole number to select your screen Defender size. So, I ordered the 30” Defender. When I went to install it in the track of the screen door frame, the defender is 5/16” too wide to fit in the screen door frame. It’s not close - there is no amount of manipulating or forcing it that will somehow make it fit. I’m having trouble understanding where I went wrong but this is fairly straightforward - it just isn’t the right size and will need to be returned.

Product was obviously damaged and returned without all the packaging. We received it with the bottom pin broken off and no instructions for install which tells me someone broke it and returned it. Disappointed because we were camping and I needed To use the product as is.

after much frustration with different things and the dogs always figuring it out we bought this one...more pricey but looks nice and fits well

Bought the 30 inch Screen Defender for my Grand Design 337 RLS as I have a 105 LB German Shepard dog, works great, no worries about screen damage from paws/claws!
