Cheapest Replacement Lock for Silverado 2500HD
Was having lots of issues starting the truck.Decided to replace the lock barrel..This was a quick and easy job took me longer to replace the plastic housing the the lockNo instructions were includedP.S. Make sure you disconnect battery as you need to be in start circuit to remove ignition lock/barrel

An easy fix for my 06 chevy p/u sticking ignition switch
Worked quite well for me, and only took me about 15 minutes to change once I figured out how to remove the plastic shroud around the steering column. The cylinder works great and has solved the problem I was having with having to jiggle the key to get it to turn over. The reason for the 4 star rating was that the plastic key head seemed to be a little light duty and the key is a little stiff to get into cylinder. I am confident that will break in after a little use

Easy install.. Key's a bit hard to remove

Easy job.
Super easy to install. Took me 5min to install the new one. I did this on 02 2500hd Silverado. Only thing threw me off was inside the steering column where the new lock cylinder goes in it didn’t line up right so I took a screwdriver and moved it to the right spot and in it went.

No Chip
This works fine if you do not have a chip key. I had to hold my old key next to this one to start my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. I went to a locksmith he said yes I have a chip key for your vehicle and that key which was the original his key was not a match to the keys installed with this cylinder. The only way to resolve the problem was to remove this cylinder and replace it with the right one that goes with the right chip key. I don’t understand why the listing showed this item fit my truck.

Good Purchase
Works well for my 2002 Silverado truck. Only thing different than what was stock accessory position which was the one click back from the off position. This one just has the forward positions from off of accessory and start. But, I am ok with it and very pleased at how well it is working.
