However, with this one, you just need to keep your hands flat to use it properly and then it works fine. See video for demonstration. This set is great for manipulating and playing with Play-Doh.

I read the reviews where parents were annoyed that the rolling pin didn't roll. At first I was like "what's the big deal. Who cares?! " Then after I received this I realized that it's pointless to have this rolling pin with handles that doesn't roll. I through it away and kept all the other great tools. It was frustrating for me and the kids. I can't believe that I'm even spending time to write about this - but this is what parents do.

These tools are very nice quality. They're nice size and feel durable. I bought rollers elsewhere, and won't be using the rollers that came with this. I bought children's wood pastry rollers, which actually spin. I would have preferred it if this set didn't include this non-rolling roller, (not that you still can't roll play dough with it,) and that the price be lowered a little. The strange looking tool with two ends will work well as a safe knife. Compared with the tiny and flimsy tools that I've gotten in play dough tool sets, *this* set is amazing! :)

Kids love their "Dough Tools". I got them for the roller specifically but the cutters are great for kids (less work is needed over plastic hand press cutters). However, I was very disappointed that the roller doesn't have an independent handle from the roller (meaning you have to turn the whole thing). Not a deal breaker but a little disappointing, so this product loses a star for me but again my kids love the tools.

These are great tools for kids to work with play doh or any dough, really. They are sturdy and bright. Good quality. The only issue I have is that the rolling pin is static, meaning that if you hold onto the sides like a real rolling pin and try to keep those still while you move the center spool, it doesn't work. I thought this rolling pin would work like a real one and I could teach my daughter how to use a bigger one with this, but the center spool does not move as I hoped . That is my only complaint!

Bought for my nephew for his kinetic sand and doughs. The quality feels really nice! I think they will hold up nicely to kids playing with them for a good time. He is 4 so they were just a smidge big for his grip-personally. But he handled them and used them like no bodies business👌🏻

My class loves being able to cut and slice playdoh and these are fantastic. I store them in empty tennis ball containers for easy storage and easy access for the kids.

Bought this set a couple years ago. It has been well loved and used often and is still in great shape. But now there are 3 kids at the Play-Doh table instead of one. One rolling pin isn't enough. Liked the first set so much I bought 2 more.I would call these school quality. I did buy a couple cheap rolling pins but the kids always want the one from this set. Very well made.
